The Informer

A fascinating series of interviews here.

I haven't watched them all but if they are all like the first couple they are worth hearing.

Let me know what you think.

CR,

I haven't watched the clips yet, but will do over the coming days.

However, did you see the reports on the Beeb this morning that the 'Victims of Crime' organisation (that I assume to be a quango) is calling for even more offences to be tried with a jury? Thi is to save costs and speed up the entire system!

I'll tell you what, start repealing the obsence amount of legislation and leave people to go about their business and you will not just save money on reduced court costs and speed up the system but you will also save on unnecessary policing costs to boot!

Cheers

PS. I hope to meet you on Friday - it's 50/50 if I can make the court case. I want to find out if you're all a bunch of loons or not! ;-)

Of course, that should be '...tried withOUT at jury...'.

This morning's caffine kick is yet to start...

FFS. I really should have a cuppa before post. Obviously I meant 'a' not 'at' in my correction.

I think I've successfully proved to be a buffoon.

U,

I heard it on the radio on my drive in to work. It did nothing for my blood pressure.

But, it is all in keeping with EU rules. The Ministry of Justice will bend over. Again. The EU will get their way. Again.

Britons. Taking it up the Gary-sans lubricatum- since 1972.

CR,

I didn't realise it was EU driven - I should've known.

As I was only born in 1975, when have I ever had a say about this?

I've only been allowed to vote since 1994 and for what choice?

I wrote to my MP (Lumley) previous to a recent European vote asking for her voting intention and why - got nothing back.

So for some time now (since finding yours and OH's blogs) I've progressed down this Freeman / restoration of Common Law route and am making major strides - nothing tangible though, all in my head. That is not something I say lightly as to understand clearly what one is and what one believes in respect of all this, allows one then to be clear in the path and the actions one should take.

So thanks for your postings and keep on keeping on!

Cheers

Caffeine is a serious problem in the mornings. You are living proof of this!

Who the real masters are

Today Elsevier (NL) reports that Iraqi asylum-seekers that were scheduled for a return to Iraq will stay, on orders of the European Human Rights Court. The courts decision is a temporary one, with a definitive ruling expected in three weeks.

Earlier, a motion in Second chamber to allow the Iraqis to stay didn't carry (NL), with a majority of 73 votes against 70 voting against the motion.

Now, I am not commenting on the wisdom (or not) of sending back these asylum-seekers. I don't know enough about the particulars to offer any meaningful opinion on the issue.

I would, however, like to note that the decision was made in parliament, through established procedure in a properly democratic way. There was a proper vote, the votes were properly counted and the minister was told by parliament to proceed. But then the defeated minority steered the EHRC to step in and subvert the democratic process. And both the minister and parliament, without any protest, rolled over and submitted.

That little episode shows you who our real masters are. Any pretence of being a sovereign, independent nation is just that: pretension. So, the question is now: What are we going to do?
