No Votes For The Lags

So, erm, can we leave the EU now?

Thems are the rules. If we don't let our paedo's, our thieves, blaggards and axe-murderers vote, then we should be kicked out of the EU.

And I, for one, agree.

We must be punished! Expel us, expel us, expel us!! We deserve it. Parliament, (usually inept, I know), looked at your stupid rules and for once, God love 'em, the feckless MPs made the right decision.

The full, heart-lifting story is right HERE von Rumpouy!

See how the Brits cocked a snook at your pathetic organisation? They defied you, they did!

C'mon then. Do your duty and kick us out of the EU!

Free us from your shitty little club.

CR.

You and I know they won't. They need us more than we need them. They covet our financial centre and our money.

It will take more than this to get out. Where are the headlines in the MSM?

Nothing on Reuters or anywhere else.

European Court and Euopean Convention on Human Rights, folks. As distinct from the European Union and Commission. Even if Wavey-Davey gets us out from under the Court's and Convention's influence (and at ASI there's an argument for keeping the Convention but preventing interpretations outside the UK applying to it by withdrawing from the Court's jurisdiction) it doesn't change anything in the UK's relationship with the EU. What it might do is start the ball rolling, but I stress might.

MPs have overwhelmingly voted to keep the ban on prisoners voting, in defiance of a ruling by the European Court of Human Rights.

The House of Commons' decision is not binding, but could put pressure on ministers to go against the Strasbourg court's decision.

Why the fuck do they bother?

What about withholding money from the EU to pay the compensation to the prisoners that will be awarded by the EU?

I have a sneaking suspicion that they're only standing up to the EU on this because, in all honesty, it's fairly minor. And look what it's doing - currying favour in the eurosceptic community.

Remember, they stood up to the ECHR on DNA retention too.

Perhaps they could try standing up to them on something significant that the general public actually don't want?
