Peak Oil? No Such Thing.

This video is essential viewing if you believe that our oil is running out.

It is vital if you believe that the price of a barrel of oil has anything to do with supply and demand, or whether the price is affected by some guy farting in the Middle East, or some group like M.E.N.D* grabbing a few oilworkers in the Niger Delta, or because a South American country makes (or doesn't make) a discovery.

The guy in the video tells a different story.

Have a listen, why don't you?

(I'd skip the last 25 minutes. It concerns his books and DVD's at the conference).

Tip of the beret to Trippy-Malcolm for pointing the clip out to me.

CR.

* M.E.N.D, for those of you that don't have to dodge the crazy bastards as part of your working day, are a group that fucks up the Nigerian oilfields on a regular basis. It stands for Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta. They are the reason I walk around Nigeria looking over my shoulder.

Ranty loves to link you up to google or youtube so you can be traced. If he was genuine he would host video himself or at least give safe links to the good info

I've just watched it all the way through. Worked fine for me.

Anon - Blogger tracks you too ;) The only way to hide from the Internet with certainty is not to be on it.

"If he was genuine"

Yeah, but Anonymous, you can't be arsed to identify yourself even by pseudonym. So you're a fine one to talk.

The good Reverend does talk up a storm though. Whether you believe him or not. Incidentally, 60 day Gold price peaked at USD1260 today. Mm-hm. Just over one hour into the vid.

CR,

WTF is going on? Four times I've published my reply. Four times it's gone up. I've refreshed the page twice and see it still up and the third time it's gone again?

To top it off, it's done exactly the same on Dark Lochnagar's blog as well.

Without sounding paranoid, the 'man' must be onto me - LOL
I think Google is censoring my posts. LMAO

Looks like I won't be replying to any of your articles anymore.

Wow he certainly knows how to spin a yarn. Some far fetched stuff there I think?. Most of what he said is already common knowledge i.e bank oil companys NWO etc etc.The one about unlimited supplies of oil now that one was a bit of a whopper.Self replenishing oil supplys on the grounds that the pressure of the oil coming out is still the same as when they first drilled dont convince me.Scarey stuff all in all BUT he has got some dvds to sell.Just wondering whether to go out shortly and stock up on my favourite tipple,or invest in gold.No contest really is it. Cheers....Note cpt that sometimes people can get duped because the person is so convincing.I am not saying he is lying, mayby over elaberating a bit. What really would these powerful secretive men be doing talking such things in front of a preacher?... I am Morgan peace and love to all.

(I'll try again & split it up even smaller)
No such thing as Peak Oil? Thus it means that Oil isn't running out? Thus it means that obviously Oil is being created on a daily basis, no different to how water is? The same for natural gas? It like Oil is miraculously pumping itself from a production factory at the centre of the earth? It, like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, that never runs out?

You believe this CR?

What f*cking planet is this man on?

Earlier you posted a video on Michael Ruppert. A man who has a vey informative website, living today penniless, a humanitarian and of huge integrity, worked in the police force, was set up by the FBI, has whistleblown on many things and then...

We have Lyndsey Williams, a preacher, who went to Alaska and was let in to a secret meeting and wrote a book (which he conveniently plugs every time he says the word Oil & Energy) about the fact that we're being lied to and that there is no Peak Oil, meaning Oil will never run out?

Sorry CR, I'm with Michael Ruppert and not this Oil company shill disinformation agent.

Why? Simple, unless we've been lied to about what Oil actually is and the earth produces oil the same as it does lava, rock, water and air, this man is full of poo and an obvious agent of the Oil companies and the NWO to tell us that Oil isn't running out and there is no energy crisis.

What a load of utter sh*te CR. What a load of complete and utter bollox.

Read the book here

And the foreword is by a friend of his the 'former' senator of Colorado. Hmm....you don't smell something CR?
It means either one of two things:

Williams is full of sh*t or Ruppert is full of sh*t. Compare both, one able to give his books away free at this congress and one is struggling to pay his rent about to become homeless.

My money's on Ruppert.

Read the book (sorry but it keeps deleting the post if I put up the link - how very odd??)

Now that has to be the weirdest thing ever? My article kept being deleted and when I removed the link I found on the Internet to Williams' book it allowed the post to stay up?

It means that obviously this link has been blacklisted by Google to view Williams' book online? Now why would Google do that? could it be it's trying to make millions upon millions selling people a lie?

Who knows, but my money's still on Michael Ruppert and his book 'Confronting Collapse.' An excellent read.

Then again, it cold be that Google no longer allows HTML links to other websites on the reply section of blogger. Someone try it for me using the 'a href' tag in HTML.

Morgan,

I have been in the oil business since 1989. Mostly at the sharp end in exploration.

Time and time again I have heard geologists talk about self-replenishing oil. Or rather, oil that finds its way up from deeper in the earth to refill those reservoirs the oilmen pumped dry.

So the theory exists.

In Algeria, at a place called Hassi Messaoud, a well has been pumping oil since 1945. Mind you, it is only a 2" pipe so it may be because of that. I had a look at it once. It was the first well ever drilled in the desert. (Useless fact for you: "hassi" means well, and Messaoud was the name of the bloke that discovered the oil, so they named the town after him.)

H,

I don't know what the problem is/was. Blogger shits the bed on a regular basis though. It could just have been a glitch. I would never censor anyone, and certainly not you. Please rest assured that the posting problem had nothing to do with me.

To reply to your post:

I don't know whether this man is telling the truth. I think he thinks he is.

1. He is a preacher. A man of the cloth, so we are supposed to believe him.

2. He appears to make a living by public speaking and selling books.

3. He does speak well.

I went on to watch a newer video he had made about a year ago. It was about a year after he made the first one I linked to. I noticed that some of the points he made in the earlier video had changed slightly. They were not material changes and the newer video was like a slightly revised version of the first but was essentially the same.

Here are a couple of other links I looked at:

http://www.thebirdman.org/Index/Others/Others-TheEnergyNonCrisis-Donaldo.html

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2027598/posts

One final point:

I offer alternative views here. Sometimes they are good, and well supported, and others are shite.

This may be one of the shite ones.

As always, you are the judge of that.

Abiotic theory:

An interesting read, if only to look at the 'other' side of the theory of oil.

Captain Ranty said...

Thanks Snakey.

That's the one! I had forgotten the term. I was searching for abiogenic and abiological. No wonder I couldn't find it.

Ranty loves to link you up to videos because he is a lazy bastard. He could sit and write out his own thesis each time but he doesn't have the time for that.

I have not, in over a year, ever attempted to trace a single commenter.

Who you really are, and where you really live, is none of my business.

Hi CR.Didnt know about this theory on the replenishment of oil,but then again I am not a geologist.Steven Hawkins is now saying humanity needs to colonise other planets so as to survive. Is this maybe a clue to the desperate situation that we are in?..I am Morgan. P&L to all.

CR,

I never believed you would censor any post of mine. You can rest assured at that.

You do offer alternatives, I can see that. It proves you remain impartial. I like that. However when someone's clearly speaking out of their posterior on a topic as important as energy, then I would have expected you to have shown restraint. However, it is not my right nor any other's to tell you what and what not to do.

The very fact that he is a 'man of the cloth' makes me disbelieve him even more!

Again, given a choice between him or Michael Ruppert, one's had far more time at oratory, while the other, at experiencing the way the system works, I'll certainly go with Ruppert. From reading his website it blows open much with evidence. I can see him going the same way as Christopher Story.
