Happy New Year!!!!!

This kind of says it all for me. Tip of the beret to the multi-talented Grumpy Old Twat.

Good luck for 2010. It looks like it will be an interesting year, one way or another. My battle with HMRC began 3 weeks earlier than scheduled, and I can tell you this: I have already won. More details next week.

Keep safe, and thank you for visiting Ranty Barracks. Come back next year refreshed, reinvigorated and refeistified.

We'll have some more fun together.

The Eighth Age Of Britain

As I sit here in front of my computer, looking out over snow-covered farms (thank Yahweh for global warming), yet another helicopter overflies my house, bound for the North Sea with 18 men and women on board. They will spend New Year exploring the sea bed for more oil or they will spend the time on a production platform ensuring that the black gold continues to head back to the refineries of Britain. I wonder how long those helicopters will continue to move people to and from those installations as we race towards peak oil. I wonder about the future of our nation a lot these days. What will it look like ten, twenty, or thirty years down the road?

Sometimes, to know where we are going, we need to know where we have been, and where we came from. My interest in history has increased exponentially of late. So, much to the chagrin of my herd, I parked my arse in front of the telly box yesterday and watched all seven one hour episodes of Bettany Hughes "Seven Ages Of Britain". It was fascinating, to say the least, and I thoroughly enjoyed the nine thousand year romp through our islands' history. If you get the chance, please watch it. If, like so many, you imagine that you have pure British blood coursing through your veins, you are in for a disappointment. Up to 40% of our DNA is Middle Eastern. We truly are a mongrel nation, and no amount of posturing by the BNP will change that fact.

The past is what it was. We cannot alter that, but we do have a say in what will be. Yesterday, my free copy of "Ten Years On- Britain Without The European Union" arrived, courtesy of The Taxpayers Alliance and it is, predictably, an incredible little book. It was, and is, my belief that the vast majority of Britons (can we still call ourselves that?) have absolutely no idea just how far those EU tentacles reach. For an idea of just how encroaching these unelected thieves are, here is a quote:

"If you traded something, made something, sold something, ran something, policed something, protected something, transported something, communicated something, fished something, grew something, burnt something, buried something, stored something, repaired something, bought something, spent something, exchanged something, taught something, learned something, powered something, healed something, published something, researched something, reported something, supported something, Brussels had a say in it".

We have managed without belonging to a European Superstate for over 2,000 years. This book asks if we can continue to manage without them. Their conclusion, unsurprisingly, mirrors my own: Yes, yes, yes indeed. We "voluntarily" pay in £60 million every day of every week of every month, every year. We get very little of the freshly laundered money back. And this at a time when we so desperately need to take care of our own, government created, debt. If ever there was a good time to say goodbye to the EU, it is now.

So I wondered what the Eighth Age Of Britain would look like to my grandchildren, or their grandchildren. Except we are no longer called Britain. Don't worry, that will be beaten out of us in the next five to ten years, along with our childish need to use our "British pounds". Feet and inches clearly belong to savages, as do silly things like miles and pounds and ounces. We will be assimilated, for there can only be one way, one rule, one law. Will future generations, bar-coded, tagged, micro-chipped and GPS'ed, (for their own safety, of course), look back with a wry shake of the head, and say "Can you believe they resisted for so long for such an out-moded concept as freedom?". We are being encouraged, right now, to take snapshots of buildings that dare to burn lights when no-one is in, and send them off to Stasi Central, so the Righteous can punish the miscreants. Our children are being interrogated at school on mum and dads behaviour. Do they smoke? Do they drink? Do they strap you in when driving? Do they recycle? If the kids answer incorrectly, an "Intervention Unit" will be along smartly to re-educate.

There must be an upside, surely? Yup. We now have no borders. We no longer need to show identification to travel within Europe. Give it a try, why don't you? I can't even fly from Aberdeen to fucking London with waving my passport at someone in a uniform. How the hell do I get to Prague, or Hamburg, or Amsterdam without showing the Stasi that I am a legitimate European? The law says that I do not need a passport to leave or enter my own country, unless we are at war with a sovereign nation. The last time I looked, no such condition existed. It hasn't, in fact, since the end of WWII. Our "differences" with other nations have been mere "conflicts" or "disputes". Understatements all, particularly when you consider how many brave servicemen and women gave their lives, their legs, their eyes or their sanity, to take part in these "disputes". I was fortunate during my seven years with the British Army not to visit those places where lead poisoning at the speed of sound was prevalent. I sort of regretted that at the time, but not any longer. Today, I wouldn't risk a fingernail for this country. It is no longer mine. It is no longer ruled by the monarch I served. It is no longer governed by British politicians. It no longer has control over her own destiny. On 1st December 2009 we entered servitude. We became serfs of the superstate. 61 million people lost their nationhood, their identities, their ethnicity, their law, their opinions, and their freedom.

Will our grandchildren thank us for this? Will they say we did the right thing by doing absolutely nothing to prevent this cancerous growth? Will they say we were right not to rebel?

I think not.

Welcome to Britains Eighth Age. The Age Of Control. The Age Of Serfdom.

This is slavery in all but name.

I am disgusted with you. I am disgusted that you stood by and allowed this to happen.

I am disgusted with myself. I am disgusted that I stood by and allowed this to happen.

But mostly, I am frightened for my children. And their children.

At best, I have another 30 years to endure this. My death releases me, but before that time comes, I will fight. And fight.

And fight.

Reasons To Be Fearful

The following is from EU Truth. Link embedded in the title.

We joined the EU (EEC) in 1972. After 36 years inside we now know:

1. The European Union’s six constitutional treaties build a dictatorship.
2. The EU has the laws of a police state  - enforced after the Lisbon Treaty, from 1st January 2009.
3. The EU's 120,000 regulations will bring us a soviet style command economy and abject poverty.
4. Unelected EU dictators will control the nuclear weapons of former nations of Britain and France.
5. The EU 's six treaties will compel us to hand over all our armed forces to the EU.
6. Our armed forces and police have been told they will swear a new oath to the EU, or be fired.
7. The EU’s 120,000 regulations will rigidly control our personal lives - more than any nation in history.
8. EU regulations now cost us £100 billion a year. (Better Regulation Commission annual report 2005)
9. When enforced, those regulations will destroy most of our 4.5 million small businesses.
10. Up to 13.5 million will be unemployed after EU regulations close small businesses.
11. The 120,000 regulations will make us subject to continual arrest (SOCPA 2005).
12. There are now 3,095 "Crimes against the EU state" on the British statute book.
13. We will be stopped on the street for continual checks on our EU ID cards after 2009.
14. The EU’s Constitutional treaties replaced the British Constitution on 1st January 2009.
15. The EU treaties will close our Westminster Parliament after its 5 years expire on 5th May 2010.
16. The EU's Road Pricing and then ID chips will keep the state informed of our exact position.
17. Huge taxes/fines by the EU's Road Pricing, Congestion Charging and global warming policies.
18. The EU Regionalisation Plan will abolish England and our 48 counties in favour of 9 EU regions.
19. The 9 EU regions will report direct to Brussels, not to Westminster, which will be defunct.
20. The EU Regionalisation Plan will abolish our 19,579 councillors.
23. British common law mainly replaced by EU corpus Juris by 1992. Government is now above the law.
21. Police have shot 30 innocent people dead since 1992 and have not been successfully prosecuted.
22. 1,100 deaths in police custody since 1992 and no successful prosecutions.
24. Police Shoot to Kill policy now in force; illegal under British common law, OK  under EU corpus juris.
25. EU conceived in Germany from 22nd June 1940 as the EEC - speech by Hermann Goering.
26. First EEC conference Berlin University 1942, 13 nation summit Berlin 1943 run by von Ribbentrop
27. After fall of Germany, the Germans switched the EU from a Nazi to a communist basis in1946.
28. Hitler's Deutsche Verteiderungs Dienst Intelligence Department (DVD) still controls EU development.

37. Common Purpose has staff in hundreds of local newspapers censoring out anti-EU news
38. Common Purpose is transferring power from councillors to the unelected council executives.
39. Common Purpose has built the EU gravy trains inside local and national government.
40. Common Purpose has built most of Britain's 8,500 quangos costing us £167 billion pa
41. These quangos bribe compliant, pro EU local officials and businessmen with £150,000+ salaries.
42. EU quangos are the reason your council tax is going through the roof.
43. The EU is utterly corrupt and cannot account for 95% of its expenditure (yes, ninety five % lost)
44. The EU has over 200,000 offshore bank accounts from which it pays bribes.
45. We now lose £45 billion a year trading with the EU. Outside, we had an even balance of payments.
46.  EU Constitution is similar to the Soviet. And EU Commissioners similar to Soviet Politburo members.
47. The EU parliament is a sham with no power - just like the old Soviet parliament.
48. The leadership of the Conservative Party has been controlled by the EU since the 1960's.
49. The Labour and Lib Dem leaderships EU controlled for 20 years - that's why your vote doesn't count.
50. The Amsterdam Treaty 1997 gave the EU control of our immigration, now running at 2.6 million pa.
51. Our infrastructure can't cope with the 10 million immigrants the EU has let in since 1997.
52. 380,000 highly qualified British emigrate annually to escape from the EU and its overcrowding.

You can stop the EU with the campaigns at http://eutruth.org.uk/campaigns.pdf. You can do it.

Blue Pill/Red Pill

The following was written by George Monsoon. I found it over at Revolution Harry's.  If George turns out to be crazy then you will find me in the padded cell next to his.  The nuthouse will be overflowing with the sanest people I have had the good fortune to meet and converse with. As George says, this messes with the reality you have subconsciously constructed around yourself, through no fault of your own. If the rest of the nation can be said to be fast asleep, then the most I can boast is having one eye open a fraction.

Strap in. Keep your mind open. You will be okay when the ride ends. The option to act lies with you. It always did.

Here you go:

I have chosen to take the Red Pill – are you ready to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes?

I am not crazy. At least I don't feel crazy. I have no internal voices "telling me what to do". I am not an extremist, or a conspiracy theorist. I do not look to the skies for signs of intelligent life, although many would argue that looking for intelligent life on earth is probably not the best place to start!

I didn't ask to be born into this "society". I gave nobody permission to apply a fictional "person" to my human self, and then manipulate the facts to shroud my judgment under a convenient truth, through false information and forced ignorance. I was just 19 when I started to ask questions. At that time I was confused, without any clear direction. I did at that time wonder if there was something very wrong with me, because I was asking questions, and not conforming to what I later found out to be called “stereotypes”.

So I started to read books, ask people questions, and a lot of things just did not add up and I got extremely angry with the world.

For the first time in my life I rebelled. There was something terribly wrong with the world and I needed to find out what it was and what was causing it? At that time I could not quantify the facts, so I remained angry and upset for many years. I renounced my indoctrinated Catholic faith, and stopped going to church and felt very alone. It took 2 decades, 1 failed marriage and near nervous breakdown before I finally managed to build a clear picture of what is really going on.

When you do wake up to reality, it is akin to finding out that Santa does not exist. At first you are filled with disbelief, sadness and anger, but over time you learn to accept it. Whatever happens, you can no longer believe the lies. There is no going back.

If you want to find out the answers to questions that have been hidden from you deliberately, it require an open mind and the willingness to admit that you are wrong a lot of the time. At this point I will stress that during my quest for the facts, I have changed my mind and direction a lot. I have followed a lot of information routes to dead ends and exposed many fakes and misinformed people. Unfortunately, you must endure this baptism of fire, in order to get to the bottom of something and find out the facts. I use the term fact, rather than truth quite deliberately. The truth is by definition, a belief in something that comes about when enough people believe it to be so. For example, until I was 8, Santa came down my chimney every Christmas Eve and left presents for me. This was the truth because I believed it to be so, and was re-enforced by my parents, peers and the media. A fact however is a fact, regardless of whether you care to believe it or not. A fact is backed up by hard evidence and is irrefutable.

This all brings me back to why I am now publishing this information. I have never in my 23 years of research seen a more important time to get the message out. We are on the brink of a new world order of totalitarian control. Please hear me out, before you dismiss me as a conspirital nut. I am not. I hold a position of considerable responsibility in a global IT support company, and I have a wife and 4 lovely children. I have no intention of starting an all out revolution, and will not be the next "wolfie smith"

The new world order is real. This is the hardest and most bitter pill to swallow. I cannot and will not force my opinions on you, only present the facts, which I would expect any rational intelligent individual to question and research before agreeing with anything I say on here, but here goes….

You have been lied to, your whole life (FACT). Since you were born into this world, your parents unknowingly fed you a lie. They played the game they were told to play because they too had been lied to, by their parents and peers. They have been fed lies by the media, and they were indoctrinated into this illusion and subsequently passed the illusion on to you. You are probably unwittingly doing exactly the same to your children!

Your teachers at school, taught you only what they were allowed to teach (the curriculum), they too, are tied deeply into this lie. The same goes for most of your friends and family. It is important that you are aware of the fact that this is not their fault, they are not to blame in any way. Most people on the planet have been manipulated and institutionalised during the course of their lives by a global power machine that has only one purpose... to farm you so that a tiny percentage of the people retain absolute power and wealth.

IF at this point you still think I am nutball, I, please stop reading now, because you simply aren't ready to wake up to the facts. Just go and have a nice cup of whatever beverage the media has told you to buy, sit down and watch your favorite television program. You will soon forget about my loony ranting and all this conspirital shit, and you will start to feel much better.

If however you are now intrigued, and want to know more, then sit back, you are about to find out how deep this rabbit hole goes. NOTICE – Once you have acknowledged the following information, there is NO going back to the life you once knew.

1. You are Cattle

Your entire existence from birth has been very carefully crafted and manipulated, so that you accept a life of servitude to the system that controls your every move without complaint or question. As you grew up, you were taught that you go to school. You learn whatever the teachers tell you to learn and then when you leave school, you go to work until you are 65, then you retire and live a peaceful life until you eventually die. In between you may have a family. You have been conditioned to buy a house, get married, go to work for your family and take a couple of days off each week. You have been conditioned to accept that you must pay taxes to the government, so that they can manage the affairs of state, such as healthcare, education, welfare, defense, etc. For some strange reason, after all the tax has been paid, and all the bills have been paid, you have very little left. Do you ever wonder why this is? (this is a very good question). You worry about not having enough money constantly, and even if you manage to save some of it in the banking system, you still go out to work every day to keep those feelings of anxiety at bay. All the time, you are ensuring that the minority elite stay in unquestionable control of you, your friends. Your family and everyone else in the world. This fabricated reality has been developed over hundreds, possibly thousands of years and is getting stronger as our technological advances are exploited ever more by them to facilitate the lie. Their primary tool for maintaining this core belief system is by applying social engineering to each individual from birth.

3. The Governments are being told what to do.

I have spent an awful lot of time researching this one, because generally, people have an inherent dislike for the government. When I dug deep, I found out that actually, the government are perpetrating yet another lie, to condition us to dislike them. This actually supports their agenda, because we all know that politicians lie, yet we accept it. Why would you allow a liar to govern the countries healthcare, welfare and more importantly your money? (another good question) yet you do this, because although you are aware that politicians are liars, for some reason, you believe that they know more about these things than you do, and you should trust them to do their job. What is really going on in Whitehall? These people are no more informed than you or I. The only difference is that the people in government are aware of the power elite (at least in high office they are) and are happy to become public figures, because the job comes with a certain level of power, money and fame. The real power and control lies elsewhere.

3. The Media

Newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, billboard advertising, school curriculums are selling a lie.

All these mediums are very tightly monitored by the government, and their respective bosses. You are shown only what they want you to see and hear, and because the guy on the TV is nicely spoken and wears a suit, you have been taught to respect him? Ask yourself this question. Why would simply wearing a suit and speaking the queens English dictate that the man is honest and is not telling lies? The answer is, that it doesn't. Alternatively, why would you immediately think someone with a shaved hair cut, pierced nose and tattooed arms, with a thick scouse accent was probably a liar or a thug? You simply cannot judge people on this level. It is unfair and more often than not, inaccurate, but you have been taught to think this way. This is called stereotyping, and is used as a very powerful influence in the belief system. We all do stereotypes, usually unconsciously. Everything about the whole media vehicle is geared to build and re-enforce these kinds of beliefs. Let us look at a subset of very common stereotypes. If you are a single working man, you will notice that advertisements for beer are targeted at you. What is the general message of the beer advert? Buy me! Is the obvious one, but also there is a more subliminal message. They are playing to the “ladish” stereotype, that being a single bloke is likely to go out on the “lash” with his mates and behave in a foolhardy way. But is this correct for everyone? Or are we subject to a more covert version of astrology? Another example of stereotypes has only really manifested since the so called 911 terror attack, If you are a non-Muslim, have your opinions of Muslims changed? Do you find that you are uneasy in the presence of a Muslim with thick beard and traditional dress, especially at an airport, or on a train? If you are Muslim, how has your opinion of non Muslims changed? Do you feel victimised? Scared, guilty, even though you are a peaceful innocent individual? Do you find that you are feeling more animosity towards non-Muslims, because you feel unjustly victimised? This is media hype. This is propaganda, the promotion and development of stereotypes. The dictionary definition of stereotype is this - A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image. The key word here being oversimplified! . This is part of a grand design to keep you in fear. People in fear look to authority figures for guidance (check it out, don't take my word for this, do some research). People who are afraid are less likely to ask questions, and more likely to do as they are told.

4. You are NOT a person, you are a human being.

The person is a fictional (legal) entity that does not exist in the real world. You were assigned this social status on your birth certificate, but you have been lied to. It is being used to trick you into believing that you have no choice but to play their game. I will not go into depth with this. A full explanation of this and its implications can be found here http://www.tpuc.org

5. Police state.

We are living in an increasingly powerful police state, governed by a totalitarian dictatorship.

Do you ever wonder why each government that comes to power; whether it is Labour, Conservative or Libdem never seems to be any different than the previous party in office?.

Why don't other parties ever get a mention on the news? There are many other well meaning political parties out there that if in governance, could potentially make life a whole lot easier for us all, but they never get a chance. The ruling three have the monopoly. We accept this, because we are told to accept it (by the media). Do you accept it? Can you think of one good reason why you think having just three options that have plainly not done any good in the past is acceptable? Would you be interested to hear what the other parties have to offer? as an example, check out http://www.LPUK.org I must clarify that I hold no affiliation to the Libertarian party, but ask yourself why do we never hear about these people in the news? The answer is because a small minority of powerful people wish to control the governments, and unless they can limit the capacity to those who are on their “side”, this cannot happen.

6. Your freedom is about to be locked down for ever.

With the advent of the internet, just over a decade ago, the power elite have discovered that a lot of people are now privy to information that was previously, very difficult to source. Because they are terrified that we may uncover what is really goin on, they want to ensure that in the event of an uprising, or mass rejection, that they are ready. They are doing this on two fronts.

1. lock down civil liberties and limit movement.
2. re-condition children to be “dumbed down” in order to prevent them from discovering the reality of the world.

Let us look at the first one, locking down of civil liberties and limiting movement.

The internet can be policed, but it would be extremely difficult (but not impossible) to prevent freedom of information around the world. Because this is a massive problem for the power elite, they are taking a different approach They will target individuals who do not “conform”, or rather, they will use propaganda to promote the “general public” to act on their behalf and report any “inappropriate behavior by an individual”. This is already apparent in our society today, as the government actively promotes children to “snitch” on their parents, and other people for minor offences like dropping cigarettes or not recycling. We are watched by over 4 million cameras and on average, are caught on camera 300 times a day. This situation is only going to get worse, and quickly, with the ratification of the Lisbon treaty. Effectively making Europe a super state, centrally governed from Brussels.

Secondly – re-condition the children

This is already in full swing. As I stated above, children are being actively encouraged to rat on their parents to teachers. Social services are gaining immense powers to take children away from parents on trumped up charges. You can no longer enter a school uninvited. If you try you will find that your child is locked in, and should you be fortunate enough to find a way in, you may well be prosecuted. The curriculum has changed a great deal in the last decade. Children are now banned from most competitive sports, and taught that it is okay to fail. This is extremely worrying because if children are not taught to be competitive, they will be droned into adult life, without taking risks, making their own decisions. They will simply comply with the instruction of authority and not strive to be individual.

The strategy being employed by the power elite is to facilitate a move to a single world government, with a single currency, where we are not allowed to make even trivial decisions, and god forbid use common sense!. When this happens (I predict within the next 10 to 15 years) Anyone not conforming to the “norm” will be treated as a threat to society and will be silenced one way or another, and there will be no way to fight back.

So what do we do about it?

You can fight back, but not by physical force. The governments are ready for this, and I suspect, are actually hoping that we do. For physical force to work, would require millions of people to be of the same mind. At the moment, this is not the case, but our numbers are growing. If 10, 100 or even 100 thousand people fight back in unity, the government has the ability to influence the rest of the population to believe you are nuts, and brand you as terrorists, bent upon harming them. A rebellion would be short lived and any action of this kind will just re-enforce their control, undermine what we need to achieve, and allow them to push ever more draconian laws upon us "for our own protection” A wise man once said, that the truth only becomes the truth when enough people believe it to be so. The mass media IS the truth for billions of people around the world, regardless of whether it is a lie or not. . This belief system will be extremely difficult to crack.

There is only one course of action to be taken for the moment- educate those amongst us who wish to know. Do not force your opinions; simply get those people to do their own research. Encourage them to ask their own questions. This could take a long time, but we MUST try.

Addendum:-

If anyone reading this is still in some doubt about any of the above statements, I have this message.

Within the next 10 to 15 years, If the new world order agenda goes unchecked I and others like myself will probably have been picked out by the authorities and publicly humiliated, branded a nut, bullied, threatened, publicly discredited and possibly even killed to protect the interests of a very powerful minority. Make no mistake, the ruling minority is ruthless and will remove you from existence without a second thought.

I am prepared for this. I am ready. Before that day comes, I MUST encourage others to wake up. If I can wake just 2 other people from this nightmare, then I have succeeded. If those two do the same, we WILL succeed.

I do this not for myself, but for my children and their children. We owe it to them to return this world to reality; otherwise our whole existence is null and void.

Peace and love to my fellow human beings...

It Begins...

Madame Justice is now on an enforced diet. So much so, that by this time next year she will be positively anorexic.

The parlous state of our judicial system is under serious attack, not from Europe, as I envisaged, but from within, by that monster, Jack Straw.

My apologies. My last sentence looks as though there may be hope. There isn't.

Read this. The horror of virtual courts is upon us.

I will need to beef up. I want to know if by not stepping into a physical court, by not "crossing the bar", that the jurisdiction of the court is automatically negated.

There will be more on this as I winkle out the details.

In the meantime, be horrified.

This is a nasty turn.

ClimateShite-Blood On The Carpet

COP15 is over.

I deliberately waited a few days before posting on this scam.

This is what I thought would happen:

1. Delegates from all over the planet would gather.
2. It would cost us a fortune.
3. They would add thousands of tons of CO2 to the atmosphere.
4. It would end in tears.

What actually happened was this:

1. Delegates from all over the world gathered.
2. It did cost us a fortune.
3. They have added thousands of tons of CO2 to the atmosphere.
4. It has ended in tears.

I failed to predict the blood on the carpet as one ever so slightly unbalanced delegate "slashed herself open in protest". (See report embedded in the title). My first thought was that if you are prepared to self-harm to prove a point, that alone should disqualify you from taking part. Slashing yourself open is not big, and it's not clever. Mind you, neither is promoting an agenda that is so blatantly without foundation. I note that those bright people at COP15 failed utterly to consider sun activity at all. Now, I may not be a climatologist but I do understand sun activity. Twice a year (around the summer and winter solstice) the sun is in direct alignment behind telecommunications satellites and all of my customers lose comms for three or four minutes as the satellites become drenched in background solar radiation. For those who like graphs and charts, I recommend that you have a gander at the ten page report. It is more alarming than Brown running around like an imbecile handing out billions of pounds that we don't have.

Rather than heading towards balmier temperatures and rising sea levels, we are looking at the distinct possibility of a mini ice age. Lovely.

The president of the Maldives would be better advised to look out his skates than his scuba diving kit.

2010 holds promise. Lord Monckton has cited 8 or 9 climate "scientists" as fraudsters and will issue writs against them. I look forward to their prosecution.

What a monumental waste of money. The Warmists don't see it that way, of course. They see only mortgage repayments, private school fees, big houses, junkets, shiny awards, yet more conferences, and a moronic public to fool. This is a mistake we will be repaying for decades.

Deep joy.

UK Ltd-The Proof

As most of you know, we Freemen repeat often that the UK is a corporation. We use this as a lever to step away from the state, and use their statutes against them. We also know that the UK is bankrupt, and that in bankruptcy, all debts are forgiven. We use a variety of statutes to our advantage, among them is the Bankruptcy Act 1869, the Bills of Exchange Act 1882, Petition of Right 1628, Claim of Right 1689 and the Bill of Rights 1689 (aka, informally, Magna Carta Plus). The UK trades in Chapter 6 bankruptcy.

One of the biggest (incorrect) claims by the Doubting Thomases, is that the UK is NOT a limited company.

I beg to differ, and in so doing, offer you this, from Hansard

HC Deb 22 October 1940 vol 365 c942W 942W
§Mr. Craven-Ellis asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the formation by the Government of the United Kingdom Corporation is only a war-time measure; and will he give assurance that the corporation will be wound up immediately after hostilities cease, so that the export trade may flow through its normal peace-time channels?

§Mr. Johnstone The corporation was formed with a view to meeting difficulties in overseas trade which are due to conditions arising out of the war. It is impossible to foresee the conditions that will obtain when hostilities cease and, therefore, I cannot say whether at that date it will be desirable to terminate the activities of the corporation. These activities do not, I think, disturb the normal channels of trade but I can assure my hon. Friend that His Majesty's Government have every desire that trade should be freed from war-time restrictions and be conducted in a normal manner at the earliest possible date.

The "restrictions" were never lifted. And we have rolled merrily onwards ever since.

Remember the phrase "in bankruptcy all debts are forgiven". Remember also that the fiat money we use today is worthless. It has no intrinsic value. A £5, £10, £20, £50, or £100 note is worth about 3 pence. It is a promissory note. A promissory note is a negotiable instrument. You or I have the power, today, to create our own promissory notes, our own negotiable instruments. Instead of using their useless notes, you can simply, and lawfully, create your own. My point being that you cannot pay a debt with a debt note. If the notes in your wallet have no value, how can you repay debt with them? How, indeed, can you purchase goods and services with them? I can answer that with just one word: faith. We have a faith based currency. And why not? We are expected to use faith to give credibility to the Climate Change mutterings. We need to employ faith because the hard & fast science does not justify the claims made by the Warmists.

I was most pleased last night, when I got home from a two day conference in Aberdeen, to read that Old Holborn intends to join our swelling ranks on January 1st. He realises, as most sane men do, that this is a game. A hurtful and damaging game, to be sure, but a game nevertheless. Like the rest of us, Holby is tired of playing by the unfair rules of this game, and has decided to use his own rules. Please read the article, but make sure that you read the comments as well. Most people assume that Freemen are anarchists. This is not true. They assume that we want everything for nothing, and this also, is a scurrilous lie. It is given oxygen by the ignorant, the misinformed, and the terminally terrified. That we have too many statutes, bills and acts, is obvious to any that care to look at the rolls. Statutes are vomited out, with nary a care, on an almost daily basis. They are not required for communities to flourish. They are, however, required by greedy, corrupt, and inept governments. Statutes generate billions of £££'s every year for our bankrupt nation. They are, for want of a better expression, stealth taxes. A Freeman (in truth, and in law, no man or woman) cannot be summarily judged and fined, yet we see this happen all over the country, thousands of times a day, every day. All statutes have a monetary value, and each is carefully considered, by the bankers, not the lawmakers, before they are shat out. They have nothing to do with justice, health or terrorism. They have everything to do with money, coercion, and control.

The good news is that the wheels are coming off. Freemen, Lawful Rebels, and other movements are rapidly expanding and, as ever more erudite people join us, more careful research is done, more "secrets" are uncovered. We are morally obliged to share these discoveries with you, our fellow humans. If anyone, and I mean anyone, asks for money to reveal these newly uncovered truths, the second word in your reply should be "off". Our movements are about ridding ourselves of greed and corruption, not starting off a new trend in robbing the gullible.

I reiterate, (and I will do this ad nauseum) that Lawful Rebellion is not for everyone. It is most certainly not something to be embraced without months of (your own) research and much thought. I will not spoonfeed anyone. For the vast majority of Freemen, at some point in their research, an epiphany occurs. Once you know who you are, and what you are not, a 10,000 watt lightbulb clicks on inside your skull, and all (or most) of the jigsaw pieces start to make sense. Dots get joined, and a clear path is suddenly visible on this confusing and overly complex map of life.

Between the various movements, we try to show you the way. We offer an alternative menu. It is up to you whether you sit down and eat.

Some assume that they can rid themselves of debt that they voluntarily incurred. If you bought a 50" plasma on credit, pay for the damn thing. If, like me, you are paying your local council tax for things like street-lighting, or street cleaning, but do not receive those "benefits" (I don't, as I live on a farm. I clean my own areas and I have no street lights), then why should you pay? Why indeed, should you pay any company when they fail to deliver the services that you pay for, particularly when you discover that most (if not all) councils have many millions invested in stocks and shares? They cut back and cut back while watching their investments grow and grow. Does this seem fair?

I offer, unconditionally, my promise to help you wherever and whenever I can.

The rules of the game have changed. We have a new chessboard.

The first move is up to you.

BCG-Lawful Rebellion Update

I purloined this post from  Revolution Harry. Please read it, then DO something.

Here it is, in full:

Below is the December 2009 BCG newsletter reproduced in full. Anyone living in the Wolverhampton area who wants to join the local group please contact me at revolutionharry@macunlimited.net and I'll put you in touch with the first point of contact. Non Wulfrunians can find their nearest local group on the map on the BCG website (see link below).

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE

http://www.thebcgroup.org.uk/

Welcome to the final newsletter of the year - the end of the first year of the British Constitution Group's activity. I know things have not moved as quickly as some of you would like, and that some people are still having issues with the website (an update is coming!), but we have achieved a lot this year. None of it could have been done without your help, so we'd like to start off by giving our thanks to our activists and supporters.

WHAT HAS BEEN ACHIEVED SO FAR?

BCG members and associated groups have published three quarters of a million newspapers, given hundreds of talks, started the national campaign to report Treason at police stations, run three major conferences each attended by over 400 people, networked together a wide range of activist groups, including overseas, started 70 local BCG groups run by the "first point of contact", distributed thousands of DVDs, made appearances on television and radio and set up several new websites and local initiatives.

In these difficult times it is not easy to be optimistic, but in the last six months we have seen a step change in people's realisation that something is wrong, and they are becoming hungry for the truth.

Our profile is such that we now have a range of high quality whistle blowers from within the professional establishment, including the MOD, police, doctors, barristers, social services and local government sector. When asked, why have you approached the British Constitution Group, a common reply is that "there's no-one else to talk to." We must do everything possible to maintain this trust. Whistleblowers are vital people in exposing what is really happening at the highest levels, and there will be more.

The term and concept of Lawful Rebellion has quickly been adopted by many activist groups and individuals. Many people are angry, frustrated and ashamed at the blatant destruction of Britain. Many feel the need to lash out and some suggest violent means to achieve a turn-round in political events. Lawful Rebellion offers the opportunity to rebel and achieve results but whilst remaining peaceful in words and actions. Violent action offers the encroaching police state the opportunity to "clamp down" with yet more state oppression and even violence. Our power comes not from violence, but from numbers and coordinated action in a range of areas.

Lawful Rebellion is attractive to all generations - it offers real, positive and direct action without violence. The term is spreading fast. As is the understanding of why it is needed.

Across UK there are now thousands of people and groups linked to Lawful Rebellion. They are spread throughout Scotland, England and Wales. Others are springing up in overseas countries where a similar political agenda is underway.

LAWFUL REBELLION?

Many of you reading this already know what Lawful Rebellion is. Many of you are already implementing it. For those that have never heard of it before, and especially if the term "Rebellion" concerns you, the key qualifier is the word "Lawful."

Lawful Rebellion describes a movement, not an organisation. It is not a Political Party, nor is it aligned to any Political Party. Individuals and groups operate as a team where no one person or organisation is in control. We are simply people, groups and loose organisations gathering together in sufficient numbers so that our message(s) of concern and the truth about what is happening around us is heard and fully understood by the public at large. Exposing the truth is the first step to exposing the Treason and corruption destroying our Nation State. Awakening the 40 million UK adult voters will provide the power to remove the imposed EU dictatorship. The awakening has started and will increase at an exponential rate. Each individual's effort will help that rate accelerate.

Lawful Rebellion simply means learning to say "No!"

That's all we have to do - have the courage as individuals to say "No!" to the destruction of our Constitution, to the Treason being committed by our political leaders, to the criminal corruption at all levels of government, to the "Surveillance State", to the undermining of our currency, to the destruction of our Health Service, to the collapse of our Economy and basic economic infrastructure, to the dumbing down of our children, to the collapse of culture, to the destruction of our military, to the corporatisation of every aspect of our nation including the police and judicial system, and so on.

THE COMING YEAR

2010 is going to be a huge year for us all. It is make or break time for us as individuals and for the nation.

2010 is an election year, and it looks as if the date could be as early as the 6th March. We can see the danger of New Labour, Gordon Brown and his Marxist team. The real danger is David Cameron, who has been specifically groomed when elected to continue the Treason. This man is a Bankers' puppet, and he must not be elected.

There seems to be an intention to manage the electorate to produce a hung Parliament, with an intention to generate the lowest turnout ever by increasing the cynicism among the population to levels never seen before. A hung Parliament is the aim - with Britain being governed as a one party state within the EU.

The Lisbon Treaty is now on the statute books, unconstitutionally, treasonously, unlawfully. The first six months of next year will see what may be the last general election we see for many years to come. It is most important that we do not fall into the trap of believing that we are now locked into the EU because the Lisbon Treaty has been signed. It is unlawful, was signed by Gordon Brown with no mandate from the British Public and therefore it is irrelevant, and we should pay no heed to it.

We also expect to see a dramatic increase in the propaganda supporting Global Warming. Aside from the introduction of new taxes to bleed us dry, the Global Warming scam is designed to distract us from the final installation of a dictatorship.

We must never forget the sacrifice being bade by young service men and women who are fighting and dying in the LibLabCon's unlawful Afghan war - objective: to weaken the UK's military capability through escalating death and injury, and to deplete military capacity based within the UK so as to leave us highly vulnerable to the use of EU troops on British soil.

What does the BCG intend to do about it?

The BCG should be viewed as a catalyst, to bring together groups and individuals under an umbrella of activity, to spread the truth and the urgency of our situation far and wide. We need to mobilise millions of people, and quickly.

Our agenda is essentially about bring people together, providing them with the necessary information and ideas to act and to encourage them to get out and attack the enemy on the ground wherever possible. Our overriding ethos is Lawful Rebellion, which means saying no to the takeover of our country and using peaceful and lawful means to make our protest. We are not a political party, we do not intend to become one, we do not wish to take over any existing groups or initiatives, but we do wish to provide an umbrella to draw people together to exchange information and ideas, build both the numbers of activists and their networks and in doing so increase know-how and confidence to face the growing police state.

Now, here's the key point. This is not about control.

In view of the increasing surveillance of any individual or group that does not toe the LibLabCon pro-EU line, it is most important that we do not develop a rigid hierarchical system.

Instead, under the banner of Lawful Rebellion, BCG first points of contact will network in loose groups under their own local control and their strength will be their knowledge and understanding of politics, organisations, initiative and events being carried out by the pro-EU LibLabCon in their own area.

The door is open for non-BCG activist groups to get involved, through our first points of contact. Again, this is not about control. We see it as essential that non-BCG groups continue to do their own thing. But the door is open for them to join with us in embracing the principles of Lawful Rebellion, selling the idea to their own members, and getting all our various agendas moving in the same direction. Roger Hayes is organising a major event for mid January (see below) to start the process of inviting non-BCG groups and organisations to work with us. This will be followed up with other similar events in the coming months. If you know of a group that you think should be involved, ask them to contact Roger directly at
roger@thebcgroup.org.uk.

As for the BCG itself, the organisational structure is, in essence, a groundswell resistance movement, where small groups do their own thing on a need to know basis, and with minimal advertising of how things get done. We recommend, for example, that groups do not hold traditional meetings with elected chairmen, agendas and minutes, and instead decisions are made within loose private discussions, and are communicated person to person where possible, and via other means of communication taking into account the inevitable possibility that telephone calls and emails are intercepted.

We now have over 70 local groups already organised in this way. Many are very active now - no excuses, no complaints, they are just getting on with it, and the work they are doing is fantastic. We intend to increase the membership of these local groups, and to increase the number of groups.

Beginning on the 31St of January, we are taking the BCG conferences on the road, starting in Newcastle. We will be holding these Roadshow conferences on a monthly basis throughout 2010, with smaller meetings in between. The format of the Roadshow events will be a morning session with presentations from high quality speakers on the full range of important topics. We will begin the afternoon session taking questions from the audience - we want real interaction with the audience. We want to know their concerns, their ideas, their actions. In short, anything and everything that helps us target the enemy. We will close the day with a presentation from Roger explaining Lawful Rebellion, what it means, and how we, as individuals, can put it into practice in our everyday lives. The target audience for the Roadshow events is non-members. The aim is to use the event for driving new membership, and local groups should see these events as an opportunity to build the profile of your group within your communities. We will help with that, but it's really up to you. We will be in touch with the local groups closest to the event venues in due course.

Magna Carta day is the 15th June, and there is going to be a major initiative launched on that day. We hope you will understand that we don't want to say exactly what that is at the moment. Following that, on the 19th of June, will be our National Conference, held in Stoke on Trent. This is for everyone, and we see it as an opportunity to get the hall full, circa 1000 people with a mission.

We will be in touch with all first points of contact during the first two weeks of the new year in order to schedule smaller meetings.

Finally, if you are not yet in touch with your local group, please give your local first point of contact a shout. Get involved!

ADVICE FOR GROUPS AND MEMBERS

Surveillance

On the subject of surveillance, the pro-EU LibLabCon would like nothing better than to scare people into not using the telephone or email, but the correct action for us is the exact opposite. Everyone is encouraged to make as many calls and emails as possible on the basis that although the automated intercept systems can cope with millions of calls per hour, these must ultimately be filtered, initially by computer and then by human operators. If the volume of intercepts needing assessment by human operators is driven to a suitably high level, the surveillance system simply becomes swamped with insufficient human operators to cope with the workload. That is why we have recently been seeing security services recruit on a large scale. BUT to keep it simple, as our numbers increase towards the hundreds of thousands, and certainly millions, the more we talk, the quicker we swamp out the system.

Truth

We must tell the truth at all times in the most simple language possible. During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act, to quote George Orwell.

But its not just about telling the truth, it is how it is told.

Weak ineffectual and misguided terms such as left wing, right wing, Europhile, Anti-EU and Credit Crunch are out.

Treason, Corruption, Fraud, Criminality, LibLabCon and the EU Police State are in.

We are not Politically Correct, and we recognise that this political trick is really cultural Marxist social control.

It is spoken and written truth that will set us free. Speak out, speak up and speak freely wherever you are.

Spreading the word

The British mainstream media and press is thoroughly corrupted and now only prints what the LibLabCon and EU Dictatorship demand. Lawful Rebellion will use every media channel to spread the truth and encourage people to stand up and be counted. Spread the word by conversation, email, letters, DVDs, recordings, papers, web and prayer. A minority that is right will soon become the majority.

That's all for now. Happy Christmas and New Year.

Are you listening, God?

When those people who govern us can hurl £1.5 BILLION at a problem only the sane realise is a myth, but then struggle to find £150 million to protect our sons and daughters from IED's in Afghanistan, frankly, the world is fucked up.

Twisted priorities, twisted people, twisted politics.

Are you scared yet? I am fucking terrified, and I have walked away from it all. The mongs (aka the X Factor Generation) couldn't give a shit. They don't have the energy, or the wherewithal to give a shit. For them, it is all about what shite is on the propaganda unit this Xmas, and what bargains are to be found at cunting Iceland.

Meanwhile, our people are dodging fuckwits and their home-made bombs in Kandahar and Helmand, downtown Kabul is loaded with lethality, yet Karzai assures us that his mayor is purer than the driven snow, and the opium crops? Well, they are doing fine. "We should see a bumper crop this year Mr Snot-Mining Brown, thanks to the cannon fodder you are winging our way. That bollocks about the 22 new Chinooks due to arrive in 2013 is playing well too. Keep it up, fucktard".

All is well, and all will be well with the world.

God, or Gaia or Vishnu, or some-fucker, save us from this. The gibbons we have running this country have the combined IQ of a fucking facecloth.

Please tell us our misery will end. Please, oh please, oh please.

All we want is a competent government. How tricky is that? You made the entire fucking planet in seven days, how much longer do we have to wait for you to produce a government that knows what it is doing?

And no. The Tories will not do. The LibDems? Pu-leeze.

Send us a new team. A team that will keep to their promises. A team with honour. And integrity. And ethics. And morals.

Look, just send some fucking humans. That will do. No more cyborgs. No more unintelligent life-forms.

Is that too much to ask?

An Indulgence

Tonight I was over at JuliaM's place and I spotted an old friend. (Thank you Julia).

I collected everything that Chris de Burgh ever recorded. I thought his music, and his powerful lyrics were a gift from on high. Of course, he bolloxed it all by releasing Lady in Red in 1996, but I forgive him. I saw him live in 1988 and I have not yet seen a live performance to equal his on that particular summer night. I include in this accolade bands like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, the Foo Fighters and, in Glasgow not too many years ago, the almighty Meatloaf.

Julia got me started with A Spaceman Came Travelling (ironic, given my Exmas post below), and from there I scrolled down memory lane. Crusader, Spanish Train, Where Peaceful Waters Flow, The Head and The Heart, Lonely Sky, Carry Me, and The Road To Freedom, all took me back to another place, long ago and far away. I was younger, slimmer, stupider, I had more hair, no money, and I had fewer cares.

But the heart-breaker for me was always Rosanna. At the same time Mr Chris celebrated the birth of his daughter, Mrs Ranty and I buried yet another child. We lost three, all girls. We got to keep the boys. The first weighed 3lb 2 oz, and the second weighed 5lb 1 oz when they entered the world. The three pounder, now 21 years old, and quite possibly the funniest man I know, is doing well. The five pounder is now 14 and has recently discovered girls. He can use a whole tin of body spray in one go. On the upside, the house smells nice, but it costs me a fortune. I tell him "Less is more", but he says "Meh".

The song, Rosanna, makes me think of what could have been. One of our little ones is buried right next door to Aberdeen FC. We visit often to lay flowers. I miss her terribly. Our first baby is buried in the Netherlands, we miss her as well. We miss them all.

This song helps. It helps a lot.

Have a wee listen.

I Spy, With My Four Million Eyes...

...almost nothing.

In a report just published, the mentally disturbed voyeurs are desperately seeking new ways to convince us that our 4.2 million CCTV cameras are, in fact, useful.

Except that they are not.

As we learnt from this report back in August, The Incompetent Ones need over 1,000 cameras to solve one crime. I do love efficiency, don't you?

Here is their 10 point sales plan:

  • The need for standards in all aspects of CCTV;
  • The need for clear guidelines on registration, inspection and enforcement;
  • Training of all personnel;
  • The police use of CCTV footage and evidence
  • Storage / Volume / Archiving / Retention issues
  • The need for CCTV Networks - Live & Stored
  • Equipping, resourcing and standardisation within the CJS
  • Emerging Technologies / Changing Threats / New & Changing Priorities
  • Partnership Working
  • Financial and Resource management.
Notice any glaring omissions?

Today, over 95% of these cameras are illegal. They do not have signage saying "You are being filmed on CCTV". Without proper signs, you could murder someone in broad daylight, smile, and hold up your own sign saying "I did it. It was me wot killed him", and any competent lawyer will have the video recording ruled as inadmissable. Assuming there were no other witnesses, you could be in the pub for a lunchtime pint. Case closed.

That is reason enough to have the vast majority of them consigned to the dustbin, but I have a cunning plan.

Sometime next year I may wage a one man war against these intrusive devices. I am going to copyright my image (that is, my face) and announce it in either the Edinburgh or London Gazette. I will also announce my Fee Schedule which will punish those who infringe my copyright. Imagine: I go out shopping in Aberdeen, Manchester, or London, and I already know that my image is captured, on average, around 300 times in a day. I can, lawfully, and legally, march into any police station and demand to know whether my image has been catured or recorded. Once I have seen that they did in fact record me, I will slap a bill on the Super's desk and demand payment. I was thinking of charging £1 million per infringement. I only need to go "shopping" once a year to ensure that I live like the elite for the rest of my days. But the money is not the object of the mission. The mission is to get them all removed. Money, though, will be the enabler. All they think about is money, so money is what I shall demand. Huge great piles of it. Film stars copyright their images all the time, and we are all equal in the eyes of the law, so there is nothing to stop me from doing the same.

I can plan a tour. I can bankrupt as many police forces as it takes to get the CCTV menace out of our lives. I would not announce my tour dates, if I did, they would simply switch off their cameras. I need them to be on.

There is more than one way to defur a feline.

I may change my name to Major Chaos.

Christmas-Some Uncomfortable Facts...

I just nicked this from the TPUC forum.

Is this another in a long line of things to file in the "Shit We Didn't Know We Didn't Know" section? I have no recollection of being taught this version when I attended Sunday School. I have read my fair share of books on ancient Rome and it looks very plausible. I hope so. The version we get force-fed is a bit bland. If you are a devout Christian, stop reading now.

Set your faces to "stun":

I. How Did Christmas Come to Be Celebrated on December 25?

A. Roman pagans first introduced the holiday of Saturnalia, a week long period of lawlessness celebrated between December 17-25. During this period, Roman courts were closed, and Roman law dictated that no one could be punished for damaging property or injuring people during the weeklong celebration. The festival began when Roman authorities chose “an enemy of the Roman people” to represent the “Lord of Misrule.” Each Roman community selected a victim whom they forced to indulge in food and other physical pleasures throughout the week. At the festival’s conclusion, December 25th, Roman authorities believed they were destroying the forces of darkness by brutally murdering this innocent man or woman.

B. The ancient Greek writer poet and historian Lucian (in his dialogue entitled Saturnalia) describes the festival’s observance in his time. In addition to human sacrifice, he mentions these customs: widespread intoxication; going from house to house while singing naked; rape and other sexual license; and consuming human-shaped biscuits (still produced in some English and most German bakeries during the Christmas season).

C. In the 4th century CE, Christianity imported the Saturnalia festival hoping to take the pagan masses in with it. Christian leaders succeeded in converting to Christianity large numbers of pagans by promising them that they could continue to celebrate the Saturnalia as Christians.[2]

D. The problem was that there was nothing intrinsically Christian about Saturnalia. To remedy this, these Christian leaders named Saturnalia’s concluding day, December 25th, to be Jesus’ birthday.

E. Christians had little success, however, refining the practices of Saturnalia. As Stephen Nissenbaum, professor history at the University of Massachussetts, Amherst, writes, “In return for ensuring massive observance of the anniversary of the Savior’s birth by assigning it to this resonant date, the Church for its part tacitly agreed to allow the holiday to be celebrated more or less the way it had always been.” The earliest Christmas holidays were celebrated by drinking, sexual indulgence, singing naked in the streets (a precursor of modern caroling), etc.

F. The Reverend Increase Mather of Boston observed in 1687 that “the early Christians who first observed the Nativity on December 25 did not do so thinking that Christ was born in that Month, but because the Heathens’ Saturnalia was at that time kept in Rome, and they were willing to have those Pagan Holidays metamorphosed into Christian ones.”[3] Because of its known pagan origin, Christmas was banned by the Puritans and its observance was illegal in Massachusetts between 1659 and 1681.[4] However, Christmas was and still is celebrated by most Christians.

G. Some of the most depraved customs of the Saturnalia carnival were intentionally revived by the Catholic Church in 1466 when Pope Paul II, for the amusement of his Roman citizens, forced Jews to race naked through the streets of the city. An eyewitness account reports, “Before they were to run, the Jews were richly fed, so as to make the race more difficult for them and at the same time more amusing for spectators. They ran… amid Rome’s taunting shrieks and peals of laughter, while the Holy Father stood upon a richly ornamented balcony and laughed heartily.”[5]

H. As part of the Saturnalia carnival throughout the 18th and 19th centuries CE, rabbis of the ghetto in Rome were forced to wear clownish outfits and march through the city streets to the jeers of the crowd, pelted by a variety of missiles. When the Jewish community of Rome sent a petition in1836 to Pope Gregory XVI begging him to stop the annual Saturnalia abuse of the Jewish community, he responded, “It is not opportune to make any innovation.”[6] On December 25, 1881, Christian leaders whipped the Polish masses into Antisemitic frenzies that led to riots across the country. In Warsaw 12 Jews were brutally murdered, huge numbers maimed, and many Jewish women were raped. Two million rubles worth of property was destroyed.

III. The Origins of Christmas Customs

Just as early Christians recruited Roman pagans by associating Christmas with the Saturnalia, so too worshippers of the Asheira cult and its offshoots were recruited by the Church sanctioning “Christmas Trees”.[7] Pagans had long worshipped trees in the forest, or brought them into their homes and decorated them, and this observance was adopted and painted with a Christian veneer by the Church.

B. The Origin of Mistletoe
Norse mythology recounts how the god Balder was killed using a mistletoe arrow by his rival god Hoder while fighting for the female Nanna. Druid rituals use mistletoe to poison their human sacrificial victim.[8] The Christian custom of “kissing under the mistletoe” is a later synthesis of the sexual license of Saturnalia with the Druidic sacrificial cult.[9]

C. The Origin of Christmas Presents
In pre-Christian Rome, the emperors compelled their most despised citizens to bring offerings and gifts during the Saturnalia (in December) and Kalends (in January). Later, this ritual expanded to include gift-giving among the general populace. The Catholic Church gave this custom a Christian flavor by re-rooting it in the supposed gift-giving of Saint Nicholas (see below).[10]

D. The Origin of Santa Claus

a. Nicholas was born in Parara, Turkey in 270 CE and later became Bishop of Myra. He died in 345 CE on December 6th. He was only named a saint in the 19th century.

b. Nicholas was among the most senior bishops who convened the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE and created the New Testament. The text they produced portrayed Jews as “the children of the devil”[11] who sentenced Jesus to death.

c. In 1087, a group of sailors who idolized Nicholas moved his bones from Turkey to a sanctuary in Bari, Italy. There Nicholas supplanted a female boon-giving deity called The Grandmother, or Pasqua Epiphania, who used to fill the children’s stockings with her gifts. The Grandmother was ousted from her shrine at Bari, which became the center of the Nicholas cult. Members of this group gave each other gifts during a pageant they conducted annually on the anniversary of Nicholas’ death, December 6.

d. The Nicholas cult spread north until it was adopted by German and Celtic pagans. These groups worshipped a pantheon led by Woden –their chief god and the father of Thor, Balder, and Tiw. Woden had a long, white beard and rode a horse through the heavens one evening each Autumn. When Nicholas merged with Woden, he shed his Mediterranean appearance, grew a beard, mounted a flying horse, rescheduled his flight for December, and donned heavy winter clothing.

e. In a bid for pagan adherents in Northern Europe, the Catholic Church adopted the Nicholas cult and taught that he did (and they should) distribute gifts on December 25th instead of December 6th.

f. In 1809, the novelist Washington Irving (most famous his The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle) wrote a satire of Dutch culture entitled Knickerbocker History. The satire refers several times to the white bearded, flying-horse riding Saint Nicholas using his Dutch name, Santa Claus.

g. Dr. Clement Moore, a professor at Union Seminary, read Knickerbocker History, and in 1822 he published a poem based on the character Santa Claus: “Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in the hope that Saint Nicholas soon would be there…” Moore innovated by portraying a Santa with eight reindeer who descended through chimneys.

h. The Bavarian illustrator Thomas Nast almost completed the modern picture of Santa Claus. From 1862 through 1886, based on Moore’s poem, Nast drew more than 2,200 cartoon images of Santa for Harper’s Weekly. Before Nast, Saint Nicholas had been pictured as everything from a stern looking bishop to a gnome-like figure in a frock. Nast also gave Santa a home at the North Pole, his workshop filled with elves, and his list of the good and bad children of the world. All Santa was missing was his red outfit.

i. In 1931, the Coca Cola Corporation contracted the Swedish commercial artist Haddon Sundblom to create a coke-drinking Santa. Sundblom modeled his Santa on his friend Lou Prentice, chosen for his cheerful, chubby face. The corporation insisted that Santa’s fur-trimmed suit be bright, Coca Cola red. And Santa was born – a blend of Christian crusader, pagan god, and commercial idol.

IV. The Christmas Challenge

· Christmas has always been a holiday celebrated carelessly. For millennia, pagans, Christians, and even Jews have been swept away in the season’s festivities, and very few people ever pause to consider the celebration’s intrinsic meaning, history, or origins.

· Christmas celebrates the birth of the Christian god who came to rescue mankind from the “curse of the Torah.” It is a 24-hour declaration that Judaism is no longer valid.

· Christmas is a lie. There is no Christian church with a tradition that Jesus was really born on December 25th.

· December 25 is a day on which Jews have been shamed, tortured, and murdered.

· Many of the most popular Christmas customs – including Christmas trees, mistletoe, Christmas presents, and Santa Claus – are modern incarnations of the most depraved pagan rituals ever practiced on earth.

Many who are excitedly preparing for their Christmas celebrations would prefer not knowing about the holiday’s real significance. If they do know the history, they often object that their celebration has nothing to do with the holiday’s monstrous history and meaning. “We are just having fun.”

Theft Report-An MP Responds

I have to be honest when I say that I expected my article Theft Report would be read only by my regular visitors. Around 80 people. Instead, it was read by thousands upon thousands of people. I was surprised and inordinately pleased. Of course, it would not have generated the interest it did without the help of my fellow bloggers who kindly reposted the piece on their (more popular) blogs, and the hundreds of people who linked back to my little rant. It was then, and remains now, a short piece highlighting the losses we suffered when 1st December 2009 dawned. It was never intended to be a battle cry or a call to arms, it was a farewell to some old friends. It was right that someone mourned their passing. The piece fitted in perfectly with my stated goals of becoming a Freeman. I had wrongly thought that being swallowed by the European Union would end my plans. Hurried research showed that the Treaty on European Union (the new name for the Lisbon Treaty) was merely another statute I could safely, and lawfully, ignore.

Last night I was contacted by one of the Awkward Sods in the bloglist to your left. I was asked if I was interested in a follow-up to the original piece and of course I said yes. This particular awkward sod had received an email from a commenter who asked that the letter below be passed on to me. The only condition was that I protected the source. Not for any nefarious reasons, just to protect his/her anonymity. It was an easy condition to agree to, as their identity is not germane. The original letter to the MP, which I have seen, but will not be reproducing here, is merely an enquiry from an angry and astonished constituent to his/her MP.

What follows from the MP is not mind-blowing or earth-shattering, but I think it tells us several things. I won't analyse the response, but you, dear reader, are most welcome to.

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I do agree with the slant that there are also serious problems with the EU Constitution which came into force on the 1st December following the signing of the Lisbon Treaty by the Czech Republic President. . The costs of EU membership are heavier than they should be. There have been improvements – proposed new EU laws are now assessed for their impact on jobs and businesses – but there is still too much red tape coming from Brussels and too much interference in matters that should be decided by Europe’s nation states, not the EU. Some EU laws are doing real damage to our businesses and public services.
The EU budget also costs British taxpayers more than it should, not least because this Labour Government signed away £7 billion of Britain’s hard won rebate in return for nothing at all. A Conservative Government would robustly defend Britain’s financial interests in Europe and press for further reform of the Common Agricultural Policy, which accounts for two fifths of the EU budget.
I know from a number of letters and emails that I have received how much people resent the fact we cannot now have the referendum we were promised by the Government.

Personally, I can live with David Cameron’s statement although I share your anger that we have found ourselves in this situation in the first place.  This is a situation which has been brought about by the Labour Party (aided by the Lib Dems), who could have instigated a referendum at any time prior to the Treaty’s ratification.  I firmly believe that it is for the current Prime Minister to have given us a referendum on the EU constitution, as he promised.  A promise from an elected government is a promise.  It’s this government that has robbed us of a referendum and forced us into a whole new level of EU integration.  There will now be a new President of the European Council, the High Representative will have more powers and all the other changes affecting all EU countries will be in place. Until the Lisbon Treaty came into force a referendum in Britain could have stopped all that. Now it cannot.
We have always been clear that, if this situation came about, we would immediately set out how a Conservative Government would respond. So the day after the last signature that the Treaty needed was given David Cameron gave a key speech in London making clear our approach for the future.

As David Cameron explained, if we win the next election, our first step would be to prohibit, by law, the transfer of further power to the EU without a referendum. Never again should it be possible for a British government to use a Treaty to transfer areas of power to the EU without the British people’s consent.

Second, we will introduce a United Kingdom Sovereignty Bill to make it clear that ultimate authority stays in this country, in our Parliament.

And third, we want to negotiate three specific guarantees with our European partners over powers that we believe should reside with Britain, not the EU. We will negotiate the return of Britain’s opt-out from social and employment legislation in those areas which have proved most damaging to our economy and public services. We also want a complete opt-out from the Charter of Fundamental Rights. And we would negotiate for a return of powers in criminal justice to prevent EU judges gaining steadily greater control over our criminal justice system.

If the Conservatives win the next election, the British Government will be an active member of the European Union. Like every other Member State, we will fight our corner to advance our national interests. But our guiding principles will be that Britain’s interests are best served by a European Union that is an association of its member states - and that we must never allow Britain to slide into a federal Europe.

I do hope you feel reassured by the approach we have taken.

Thank you, once again, for getting in touch about this issue.

Best wishes,

Chloe Smith
Member of Parliament for Norwich North

For those of us that have done our research, one glaring error leaps off the page. Ms Smith lays the blame at the door of the Labour Party and partly the LibDems. Perhaps she is not aware that this all began with Ted Heath's Conservative government when they passed the European Communities Act in 1972.

MPs must assume that their letters to constituents may end up in the public domain from time to time and I do not think Ms Smith has anything to worry about in her reply. She may, of course, see it differently. If you have anything to add Ms Smith, mi blog es su blog, and you are most welcome to expand if you wish.

My thanks go to the Awkward Sod and to their commenter for their trust, and for allowing me to use the material they supplied in this follow-up.

The floor, dear readers, is yours.
