Turning Worms

Are we finally fed up with this increasingly inept government?

This article would suggest that we are.

It is brief. At around 170 words it is extremely brief considering the gravity of the situation.

This is pretty much the long and short of it:

"Only 18% regard the coalition as in touch with the concerns of ordinary people, the Angus Reid survey for The Sunday Express found. Some 82% feel that it is not."

If I could offer a few words of advice I would say this: when populating a Cabinet, extreme care must be taken NOT to fill most of the positions with millionaires. Particularly during a global financial downturn.

This is not envy. I care not a jot how much money anyone else has. It's really none of my business. To my mind, it must be almost impossible for Cameron, or Clegg, or Little George to even begin to understand how hard life is for people struggling to pay their bills every month.

Nadine Dorries is a wombat. I have very little time for her, especially since she told us (during the expenses scandal) that dozens of MPs were suicidal. And not one of them offed themselves. Very disappointing. But on this occasion she is right. Pinky and Perky really do not have a clue. Neither of them has ever known financial hardship so they cannot empathise. Of course, this is politics, so both of them will make a half-arsed attempt to show the great unwashed that they really, really do care. And maybe they do, but they cannot express it.

So we have 82% of a limited survey saying "We've had it with these two". But what will they do about it? If those asked were traditional Brits, they will either write a stern letter to their local rag or collectively, the national alert level will be raised to "Slightly miffed".

The reaction from Hinge and Bracket? "We must try harder to understand the little people". But they will fail at that. It's axiomatic. Politicians, pretty much all of them, do not care. They live inside a tightly controlled environment where the only thing they do care about is scoring points for whichever political party they are members of. Why should these temporary wardens care? They have a temporary job where temporary solutions are what drive them. Sticking plasters for major wounds is what they specialise in and it will remain that way for as long as government is politicised. They are in it for themselves, let's never, ever forget that.

Ban ALL political parties and test prospective MPs for giveashitness. If they don't score highly enough, they don't get to stand for election. Those standing absolutely must put country first. Every time.

Then, and only then, will we start back on the long road to recovery.

Self-defeating job, politician. To get it, you have to be a scraping, fawning parachutee, precisely oppostie the qualifications needed to do the job effectively.

"giveashitness" - brilliant noun, hope it gets into the next edition of the OED.

Your government is incompetent? Our Australian government could run rings around yours as far as incompetence goes, we think you guys are lucky.

Bill Shorten, who is widely touted as the most likely replacement for Gillard has just made a laughing stock of himself internationally by admitting he had no idea what the PM had said in her statement but totally agreed with whatever she had said.

I think it is worth pointing out that the only reason the idiot Dorries is speaking out is because the leadership of the conservative party regard her as a figure of fun and simply haven't given her any help with the forthcoming boundry changes. This means she will lose her seat.

Even though she has nothing to lose this is the best she can come up with. No wonder she is treated with scorn.

I am not so sure that political parties should be banned CR, what should happen (under the current system of course), is that the whipping system should be outlawed, and MP's should vote for the cabinet and PM, rather than the cabinet being chosen (presumably dependent on the amount of arse kissed) by the prime minister.

Without a political party, how can one determine at a glance, what a given candidate's "giveashitness" rankings are?

Do agree Capt, the bastards never listen to the people, and nor will they ever. This might interest you, found it last night

PEACEFUL & LAWFUL CITIZENS' ARREST OF GEORGE OSBORNE - 30TH APRIL 2012

On 20th April 2012 George Osborne announced he has committed a further £10 billion of contingent loans to the IMF, the organisation representing the interests of commercial banks and privately-owned central banks worldwide. It is believed that the loans will be used in support of the Euro currency.

Mr. Osborne's claim that this sum "does not add to our deficit or national debt" is disingenuous. As with every bank bailout the collateral is the British people themselves, and unlike the banks, we the people do not at the moment have control of the money supply, i.e. the ability to create money at will.

This means that it will have to come from taxes, services cuts and public assets - once again negatively affecting the quality of our daily lives.

In an actual sense, Mr. Osborne has agreed to the transfer of assets from the British people to the commercial banks and privately-owned central banks.

Under UK law, this constitutes theft:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/60/section/1 [Theft Act 1968, Section 1]

Furthermore, the statement that it does not add to our debt, coupled with Mr. Osborne's previous statement to Parliament on 27th October 2011 that "Britain will not be putting money into the bailout fund either directly or through the IMF", mean that it is also fraud:

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/35/section/2 [Fraud Act 2006, Section 2]

We, the people of this country, now face a straightforward, threefold choice:

1. Allow the continued flouting of our laws by the same men and women that were elected to represent us.

2. Petition the police service and courts to address the flouting of these laws as effectively as they can.

3. Take peaceful and lawful action to arrest George Osborne ourselves, according to the duties and guidance of the law (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1984/60/section/24A [Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, Section 24A]) and the principles and example of the British Constitution

they mistake 'disgust' at their hoarding of wealth for 'envy'.
