Auf Wiedersehen

That's me off.

I leave at daft o'clock tomorrow to head to Germany.

I'd love to leave the door wide open so that you can bung on any interesting/horrifying/stupid stuff from the government, but some odd people will rush through that open door and publish utter bollocks.

As it is I get hundreds of items of spam per day and it takes me a while to sift through the shite for any real comments. This is because I removed the need for you to have 287 attempts to get the captcha thing right. It is an horrendous invention.

You are most welcome to comment but there will be a serious delay between you commenting and me releasing them for the consumption of all.

All of which is meant to explain that posting this week will be lighter than an anorexic on SlimFast.

Back on Saturday.

Have a great week.

I assume 'daft o'clock' is more or less the time mt Spouse refers to as 'the crap of dawn' - ugh!

Best of luck getting off the ground with half an inch of snow due...

Mac,

Yeah. Up at 4am and away by 5.

Probably just when the roads are at their shittiest.

At least the traffic will be light....

Have a good time fellow . Look forward to hearing how it goes . Missing you already .

Thanks Martin.

There will be sweat. I was instructed to wear "loose fitting clothing" for the team building event on Thursday. I distinctly recall telling them at the interview that I was bone idle.

I will have a badge made that leaves them in no doubt that I like sitting down. A lot.

Pray for me.

Good grief, cap'n from the headline I thought you were retiring (again)!

Cap'n,

Have a nice one.
As for the captcha, you know I can't stand it in the slightest but I'm sure I don't only speak for myself when I say that 30 seconds of our time spent trying to type in, almost impossible to decipher scribbles is far better than you having to wade through pages upon pages of spam/nonsense.

regards

Harbinger

George,

I am remarkably upbeat and have deferred retirement for the foreseeable.

I would have used the less formal "Tschuss" (See you soon) but I wasn't sure how many readers were familiar with it.

Thanks H.

The Germans know how to make good beer and good food so I will not suffer unduly.

I have to use that godawful captcha thing on other blogs. My last comment took 6 attempts to post.

I'll leave it off for now and when I am back I will review the situation.

Stay well,

CR.

Bon voyage Cap'n. Don't forget to whistle 'One World Cup and two World Wars' as you cross the border. They like that ...

Must agree with Harbinger (as with many other things). Makes far more sense for us to have to do the work rather than you.

Drive safe.

I don't know if it is relevant but some of the captcha has now been made more legible.

I really thought it was taking the mickey the day it gave me two Hebrew letters and some Greek scribble. How am I supposed to find the characters for that?

Have a good trip.

Does Blogger not have any anti-spam plugins CR? The one I use for my Wordpress blog works a treat and only one or two don't get picked up per week.

Glorious turn of phrase there.

In the USA they're building their own town just to get away from the socialists/marxists/social engineers. Sounds good to me!

Germany? What's wrong with France, Italy, Somalia? Are you going for good - fed up with the struggle against our leaders?

Still there?

James,

Still in Stuttgart. Heading home tomorrow.

It has been a great week.

The company had it's first get-together of the year and we partied until 4am this morning. Up at 7 for breakfast.

I am getting too old for this shit. I should have gone to bed earlier and got more sleep.

Ah well. We live and we don't learn, eh?

John,

No, it is just a business trip. I AM fed up with the constant struggle but I will return and soldier on regardless.
