So that we can ignore it.
Gee, thanks Coalition Government!
According to Der Grauniad our ideas for policy change are falling on deaf ears. No surprise there then. We should take it for granted that when an incoming government says "Talk to us. We are different" we should hear instead "Shut the fuck up. We're in charge now".
Many of us had high(er) hopes for the CamCleggeron civil partnership. Many of us, (meaning bloggers & commenters), left them alone to....bed in. Well, they have well and truly bedded in and they are no different from DJ Snotty and the Unthinking Crew. Once elected, they went deaf. Par for the course.
Look:
"Crowdsourcing involves soliciting knowledge and expertise from the public to help find solutions to problems. The coalition asked the public to respond to its programme on government websites. It received 9,500 replies online.
However, its formal responses, published on each website, shows Whitehall regarded the process largely as an endorsement of what it was already doing.
In cases where most of the submissions conflicted with existing policy, the department simply restated the policy. The departmental responses were published last Friday without publicity.
The government has two other significant crowdsourcing exercises under way, including a Treasury-led request for the public to suggest ways to save money, which received 60,000 responses.
The government has also asked for suggestions on what laws it should abolish."
And:
"The Department of Energy and Climate Change says in its response: "A theme which emerged was that you want this coalition to display a real sense of urgency in addressing two challenges: securing energy supplies, and decarbonising the economy. We agree." It then sets out what the government is already doing."
Now, I recall reading this particular section as ClimateShite is dear to my old heart. I also seem to recall the vast majority of people saying "Ram carbon charges up yer chutney funnel" and yet, in classic Orwellian-speak, they tell us that they will forge ahead, as planned, and help themselves to more of our cash as they do so.
Fucking marvellous.
The honeymoon period is definitely over. We need to bring them to their knees (again) and force another general election.
What say you?

Here there be rants. There will be Freeman stuff, Lawful Rebellion stuff and Random stuff. I am rebelling because I want my country back. My lawful obligations are as follows: “together with the community of the whole realm, distrain and distress us in all possible ways, namely, by seizing our castles, lands, possessions, and in any other way they can, until redress has been obtained as they see fit…” Article 61 Magna Carta 1215

Morgan Freeman On Race
I found this offbeat interview with Morgan Freeman by accident.
It raises some interesting points so I thought I would put it up.
Let me know what you think.

Swap Your Paper For Gold
and silver.
Fiat currency is, as we all know, worthless. They are promissory notes. The UK Treasury has admitted (under the FOIA) that our notes have no intrinsic value. A £5, £10, £20 or £50 note is worth about 3 pence.
Much like Christianity, or Judaisim, or Islam, our currency is a faith-based system.
Here then, in this Dutch programme, we have a solution. Bear with the subtitles. The video contains some important information.
Any arguments from the financial people that read this blog?
I can't see any flaws. It's a win-win. For us.
The banks won't be happy...
But since they have never cared about us, who here would be sad to see them suffer?
Or even die out completely.

The Greeks Are Revolting
No, I am not talking about the bearded women.
Look at this report.
Just lately, with thanks to The Scary Clown I have become convinced that I am an anarchist. Not the violent kind, mind you. Click on Obo's link titled "look around you" and read the attached document.
The Greeks are getting more and more violent. This is not my idea of rebellion. There are better ways to achieve the same result.
Look:
"Greek security forces have warned of a wave of violence reminiscent of the terror that stalked Italy in the seventies after urban guerillas threatened last week to turn the country into a "war zone".
"Greece has entered a new phase of political violence by anarchist-oriented organisations that are more murderous, dangerous, capable and nihilistic than ever before," said Athanasios Drougos, a defence and counter-terrorism analyst in Athens.
"For the first time we are seeing a nexus of terrorist and criminal activity," he said. "These groups don't care about collateral damage, innocent bystanders being killed in the process. They are very extreme."
And:
"Tourists should learn that Greece is no longer a safe haven of capitalism," its declaration said.
"We intend to turn it into a war zone of revolutionary activity with arson, sabotage, violent demonstrations, bombings and assassinations, and not a country that is a destination for holidays and pleasure."
In an accompanying picture, the group displayed an arsenal that included AK 47 assault rifles, semi-automatic pistols and brass knuckledusters.
"Our guns are full and they are ready to speak," it said. "We are at war with your democracy."
I am at war with our "democracy". As a typical Brit, I took extreme action. I used pen and paper. Conceivably, I am the only one in harms way. My way is slower, but just as certain to bring the results I want.
All the Greeks will end up doing is counting their dead. The last word goes to the Sect of the Revolutionaries:
"We don't do politics, we do guerilla warfare," its members announced in the proclamation placed on the boy's grave within hours of their first attack, on a police station, in February 2009. Two weeks later they sprayed the offices of a private television station with bullets. Three months after that, they claimed their first victim, Nectarios Savvas, a police officer protecting a state witness. Six people have died in separate attacks this year"
Not good.
Not good at all.

Words Of Wisdom
This interview with John Lennon is new to me. I found the clip over at the TPUC Forum.
John's words are as true today as they were back then.
The animation is nifty as well.
Have a listen.
