Light Blogging....

Not feeling so good.

Blogging output adversely affected.

Had a mild pain in my left kidney on Friday. By Saturday evening it blossomed into a monstrous agony. I am walking like a 90 year old. With a snapped spine. It is not a sexy look.

Called in sick for the first time in fifteen years. I will give it another day or so before calling in the shaman to make his ju-ju. The human body is an incredible self-repairing organism.

In the meantime, I am blogging about light. Or have I misunderstood the notion?

Even my personal astrologist appears to agree that I need a short break.

Look:

"You may feel like a sheepherder today who is trying to get the herd back to the homestead, Aquarius. Yet none of the sheep want to move. They are dragging their feet, and despite all your prodding and words of encouragement, they just don't seem to want to go. Don't let yourself starve out in the fields because of a few stubborn animals. Go on back to the ranch, have yourself some lunch, and come out again at a later time."

I'll be back soon. Please use this as an open thread.

Nipped a kidney once myself when I was much younger. Peed blood for a day or so, crapped myself so went to the emergency doctor service who sent me next door to A&E who booked me an appointment with a urologist (I think that was his label)

A week later at the appointment all bleeding had disappeared and urologist chap wanted me to have a barium meal and an x-ray 'just to make sure everything is all right'.
I thanked him walked out and as soon as the barium meal appointment arrived I cancelled it as I was feeling tickerty boo.

As you say left to it's own devices and plenty of good food and especially water the human body is more than capable of fixing itself.

As it's your kidney please up the volume of water you are consuming. Plain ordinary water can flush all manner of things from the 'system' very very quickly provided the flow is good.

At least you are not claiming a false flag attack!

Get well soon.

Thanks all.

I don't think it is a kidney stone. I read the medical books. No problem peeing. No pain, pee is clear, no smell.

It may not even be kidney related, it's just that all the pain is centred there.

Aha! Kidneys (maybe liver ?) - anyway, very relevant to today's Righteous topic of excessive alcohol.

You are clearly one of the social outcasts who likes the occasional dry sherry - you outrageous blot on humanity - you must go now and ingest copious amounts of ground glass to purge your system and so suffer your penance.

Report immediately to Professor Sir Ian Gilmore and beg for his mercy, otherwise the NHS will refuse treatment and spit on you as you leave.

Look after yourself Captain, it sounds unpleasant. I hope you get well quickly.

Are you sure that is your real horoscope? To me it sounds like what our Prime Minister, the excretable Julia feels all the time.

Thanks for your good wishes.

I spent the afternoon zonked out.

Just got up for a pee and trotted down the stairs like a 70 year old!

Seeing a quack tomorrow.

Honestly CR, I never cease to be astonished at the lengths folk will go to in order to avoid a bit of work... ;)

The MO hasn't had a drink for two whole days now so it may be safe to present yourself. Nothing that an umbrella won't sort out I'm sure!

Take care Old Horse, you are needed.

Shit man. All the best, and get well soon. You are cared for from many quarters. For such a strong willed paragon to fall so ill.. unsettling, to say the least.

In Christ,

Nightwatchstate.

this is dangerous!

mescalito, just been looking at that myself. Not the first time something like it's cropped up either. Remember about a year and a half ago it was cops making bullshit arrests so they could get DNA on file for when the kids grew up and got around to committing proper crime? It's Minority Report territory we're skirting round here.

Angry Exile- that's it exactly, Pre crime..
