2011 Census Rebellion!

Folks, Mr Snopes says that my last post was bullshit. I have pulled it for the moment.

Have this one instead!

Click your way over to Lawful Rebellion for the skinny on the 2011 Census.

I am golden. I have Lawful Excuse. Queenie has my affidavits and so far, she has not rebutted them. My instructions are clear: I am distressing and I am distraining. I am obliged to cause problems for parliament until they take action. I am obliged to revoke my allegiance to the monarch until she takes action. Ignoring the Census is but a small part of that distressment.I may end up in court but as I keep saying, this needs to be tested. I am willing.

It is (apparently) against the "law" for me to encourage you to fanny about with those 40 pages of interrogating bollocks, so I advise you to think long and hard before picking a stance on this.

The propaganda machine aka IngSoc will want you to fill them in like good little Borg.

You do have a choice.

Make one.

It's probably the nutjobs from the census campaign i.e. "If you're not religious... for God's sake say so", proving that they are as equally barking as some of the God botherers.

As a Freeman... just tell them that your birth certificate is on holiday...

There's not much hope if the sons of liberty are worried about what terrible thing might happen, if they don't fill in a census form!

I've said, over at mine, that there are three options: complete it like a good boy, complete the bits you think are legitimate and ignore the rest, or get creative.

Much of it I have no problem with, to be honest. Who I am, where I live and who I work for isn't a secret, and I don't mind telling them. But the questions that have an unspoken agenda, such as ethnicity, religion, form of heating and so on, are definitely my business and mine alone. The question is - do I leave them blank and provoke a stand-off because I have not done what the law requires, or do I indulge my imagination and have a bit of fun? I would love them to try to prove in court that I am not an adherent of the Little Sisters of the Grotto, for example. Each to his own, but it could be fun.

Harry Hook said...

Questions left blank, will allow the census worker to fill in details on your behalf, using best guess and neighbourhood averages.

Cap'n, re the pulled post (you cannot hide from Google Reader - bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha). I've long felt that if there was anything in it the Clintons with their resources would have uncovered it and used it to bury the bastard before the National Convention, never mind the election. That they didn't suggests one of two things: either there's almost certainly nothing there to find or that she knew and let it slide for her own reasons, and I need to put more tinfoil on the shopping list.

TT,

I ran a piece about Obama's birth certificate.

Snopes says it is BS:

So I yanked the piece until more evidence (if there is any) comes to light.

Heh heh heh this is gonna get nasty Captain,

I can feel the outrage swelling in every pore of my being as I anticipate reading their nosy, intrusive damned Census.

Lock Heed, who the fuck are they, ah yeah dealers in industrial death machines, well I don`t want to give them my details, the safety of my family and friends comes first.

Thats my first opening objection, more will follow.

Mrs Cubano is worried I`ll get into trouble, thats what it`s come to, wives worried for their husbands welfare when they don`t comply to guvmint nosy parkers, yeah like Libya et al.

Captain Ranty said...

Mongo,

Every other Census has locked away the data for 100 years.

This time, the data, your personal information, will be made available (almost immediately) to all 27 member nations of the EU.

Ask Mrs C if she trusts a) Lockheed Martin (a US corporation) or b) The fucking EU NOT to lose, mishandle, misplace, or use her personal information for nefarious purposes.

Hi Captain, and I'm glad you gave me the free publicity on your blog. This is ole' Barry O' posting here, from inside the US of A, quite confidentially of course, from deep within the White House bunker I occupy with my chubby little wife, Michelle. I just wanted to add that fact that my chubby little honey reminds everyone to Fight The Obesity Epidemic so they don't get fat like her - and also, everyone should cut back on extravagant vacations, especially if they're on the taxpayer dime, as my wife's typically are. And don't forget, I had tne press releases go out claiming I no longer smoke, so there's another one everyone needs to emulate and start falling into line. Why if everyone in UK does that, then UK can become just like the US and be intolerant and prohibitionist, just like us. It will also get your mind off these other topics of rebellion and freedom, since that isn't really what we here in government are hoping you will end up doing, not until the new world government takes over first of course. Thanks again, the Big Barry O'.

Always good to know that world leaders are checking out my blog now and then.

Incidentally, I'd rather be told that I was wrong than leave a nonsensical post up. So I appreciate you telling me that the info was bad.

We were discussing this today and the best way is creative [though truthful, guv] answers.

William said...

James I disagree. The best way is to do whatever your conscience tells you to.

The £1000 fine threat is a common one in government circles. They have probably done some focus group work to decide that this figure is big enough to scare the 'common man and woman' into compliance with their slave count.

They roll out the same figure as a threat with the Electoral Roll scam. If you don't want to be on the Electoral Roll you don't have to be and there is NO FINE.
The £1000 is brought into play if you knowingly fill in the form with false details!
Not sure what happens if you accidentally fill in form with false details or how they would prove things one way or the other but there it is.
Not that the government or the MSM ever explain this difference. They much prefer to let you think the £1000 is a fine for not being on the Roll.

As I said earlier it is government by fear which is by any definition a Tyranny.

The government do not fear the people and it's high time they did.

Ben said...

William,

Can I ask: How does one get oneself OFF the electoral roll?

Thanks.

William said...

Ben
The way I did it was to wait until the council send out their annual 'David I wonder who lives in a house like this' form which asks you to list all inhabitants over 16.
I didn't fill it in and basically ignored it. About a month later a lovely young lady came round with a massive pile of forms in her arms and asked if I had received one.

I politely lied and she asked if she could fill one in for me. I asked her what would happen if one wasn't filled in and she said she would tick the box and my name and those of anyone else in the house wouldn't be recorded on the electoral roll. She didn't ask for a signature and off she went.

So I am assuming there must be a 'box' on every form but I didn't look to be honest.
Naturally the council will be asking again this year (they have a lot in common with the DVLA in that they don't believe what you said last time!) so I will have to pay closer attention as it might be a case of ticking the box and sending pack in the pre paid envelope thus cutting out the visit.

I will return the form with my name (which is really their name so I'm told) but the rest of the data is my own business and the spaces will be redacted ███████████████████████████████████████████████ which means they cannot fill in their own answers easily

Thank you for your reply William. I have a copy of last year's electoral roll form on which there is a box stating 'property empty on 15 October 2010'. So I think on next year's form I'll cross my name out, tick that box and just send it back. I wonder if there is going to be a box like that on the census form?

I was going to just comp-lie but I think the time for hiding is over. Here is the introduction to my "Notice of Conditional Acceptance and Request for Information"

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you of my conscientious objections to partaking in the 2011 census and I seek further clarification on several points before I can consent to any contract to provide the information (‘data’) demanded of me. There have been very strong and public objections to this year’s census over issues of security, cost of administration, and coercion. I believe that the census should meet the needs of the population (who have paid for its creation) and the strong public reaction (a justifiable and reasonable logic against this census) suggests that this census does not.

I seek written guarantees and assurances that data is being managed safely and ethically in the interests of the people of the United Kingdom, our communities and our families. I seek guarantees that the privacy and security of data will be upheld for an agreed period and that there will be full accountability for any mishandling/loss/breach of information. I fully understand the value that securely and ethically handled population statistics can add to society and I shall be able to give my consent to contract once I am clear on several issues and have I been given the guarantees I seek. I believe all requested information to be reasonable and obligatory under the UK Freedom Of Information Act 2000. Please note that any replies from your department may be made available for scrutiny in the public domain.

The rest of notice is a series of requests for information. Where there is a reference to laws and statutes can you please provide details of Assent granted for each instance/revision to confirm that the law is valid and recognised within the legal system of the United Kingdom. A link or reference to online documentation will suffice in each instance...

Some general queries I have regarding the census. Please note that these are obligatory under the Freedom Of Information Act 2000.

1. There does not seem to be an agreement in place to define terms and conditions for the acceptance and completion of the census form, and hence no contract, nor any specific definitions for use and future handling of data. Please can you identify who shall be held liable in the event of a loss/theft/breach of data, and what penalties would be administered in this scenario.

2. Please state what law (or laws) requires the UK population to complete a census or face fine/imprisonment/removal of personal property? Please can you provide details of relevant statutes, including lists of amendments and revisions from the first bill to the present day? As previously stated, Royal Assent records are requested for this and all subsequent requests for evidence of law.

3. Where and how does the Office for National Statistics derive the lawful authority to demand private information from every household in the UK using threat of fine (without judicial review)? Is the ONS a nationalised entity or privatised organisation? Please may I obtain written evidence of authorisation with reference to the laws that govern the inception, implementation and enforcement of the authority bestowed upon the ONS.

4. The form states that “personal information is protected by law”. If this is so, please can you
a) refer me to the law (or laws) that define the levels of protection required for all categories of data submitted.
b) identify who is liable for custody of the data and state the period of validity for the handling and protection of data.
c) define the policies and directives in place to enforce and monitor appropriate handling of data
d) confirm that all sections/questions will be given the same level of confidentiality and if this not the case provide details of levels of security to a suitable level of resolution so as to identify security levels of all questions.

5. Is the Office for National Statistics lawfully authorised to demand details of privately owned property? Please may I obtain a copy of this written authorisation with a reference to the laws that govern its creation, implementation and enforcement?

6. It is stated that census information is kept confidential for 100 years. Please can you
a. confirm that the definition of ‘confidential’ applied to the 2011 census meets the ISO-17799 standard.
b. detail organisations/companies/councils etc. who will be authorised to access the data.
c. state whether any part of the information will be made available for sale to any organisation once data has been collected and stored.
d. name security agencies authorised to access census data either by default or in the interests of national security?

7. What storage medium or transfer protocol is in place that will guarantee the preservation and security of data for the next century, and what measures are in place to ensure it remains protected from changing data handling legislation or exceptional conditions such as issues of national security. Are there any constitutional laws defined for the protection of privacy of data that cannot be superceded by changes in statutes? Please provide details of your guarantees for data privacy and details of how a claim may be made if there is a breach of this guarantee.

8. As many secure government databases have been hacked, leaked, lost or compromised in some fashion can the Office for National Statistics claim data security with complete confidence? Please can you provide evidence for accreditation, policing procedures and directives for security measures being/to be taken to ensure safety and preservation of information?

9. Is the Office for National Statistics accepting liability for mishandled data managed by its contractors? Will compensation be issued to those whose information is divulged in the event of loss/theft/leak of data? What will be the form and extent of this compensation? What is the time period applicable to this compensation and how will it be administered?

10. When, where and how do the data collection agents (and agencies) employed by the Office for National Statistics derive the lawful authority to demand information from UK householders at their homes? To what extent, and for what period of time, will authorisation be granted to collection agents to uphold the law?

I thought living in a democracy meant freedom of choice - I object to not having the choice as to whether I fill the blasted thing in or not, without fear of prosecution. Wouldn't prosecution mean a criminal record?
Surely completing the paper version with your address, date of birth, employment details etc., signing it and then posting it will leave people open to identity fraud...
As for the British Humanists Association suggesting that we tick No Religion - personally it's bad enough having to fill it in at all without being told what I should and shouldn't tick! Furthermore, for the time being, England is still a Christian country and whilst I don’t align myself with any particular religion I wouldn’t want to see that change. If we are to believe what we are told, whilst all other religions are on the decline the Muslim religion, globally and here in the UK is on the increase. Surely if people who would otherwise tick Christian as their religion, because they've been christened or whatever, now tick No Religion this could mean that the largest percentage for a religion in this country could be Muslim...? Now whilst I believe that everyone should have the freedom to choose any religion they like, or not, as the case may be, wouldn't Muslim being the majority percentage on the Census form for the UK potentially give even more say to the Muslim religious leaders than they have here already-? I would suggest (for those of us too scared not to fill the form in) all people who want to see England remain “a Christian country” should tick Christian, regardless of whether they are religious or not. Those of you who are courageous enough not fill in the form at all are truly an inspiration! - J

It's against the law to fill the bloody thing in! I'm not giving that bunch of criminals Lockheed Martin my personal details, they are involved in human trafficking Eagle Associates is part of Lockheed Martin and they invited an American paedophile called Richard Gardner to the UK and all round the world to screw money out of the goverment funds and they have destroyed many children - we Mothers for Justice banged 30 balloons for them at a prayer rally a few years ago. Lockheed Martin is aq company owned by gangsters and human traffickers!I would be breaking the law to help them, it would be aiding and abetting!I am a law abiding citizen I am!

I will fill it in, then I will put it in the shredder, then the mincing machine to make paper mache, and post it back to them. I might even get all; arty and do a nice design on it, that big egyptian eye and a pyramid, or a pair of compasses and a G, something that they might appreciate, I know what sort of designs those people like, they put them all over public buildings. That way I wont be breaking either their phony law or the REAL law!

So, yes I completed the census (as ordered) online and got the receipt - beat myself up for a couple of weeks for having got myself webbed into the syatem so deeply that I felt I had no other reasonable choice. Even thought about just send them a cheque for the £1000.00 and then realised that they'd probably still prosecute me anyway...
But they had sent me 2 forms - so I ignored the other one. Then today I got a reminder from them which states "according to our tracking system you have not completed your
census questionnaire etc. etc."

When I rang the number they said that they had sent this reminder to a "random sample of Occupiers" regardless of whether the forms had been receieved or not. When I asked them why they had sent me 2 forms, at tax payers expense, they said that my address appeared twice on their database. When I asked them to remove the duplicate address I was told they couldn't do that but that one of their reperesenatives would call again to discuss the second questionnaire with me. I said that I might not be available when the rep called - they told me that a card would be left to arrange a mutually convenient time for them to discuss the 2nd questionnaire with me....So because of their incompetence I am to be inconvenienced still further. I have a fair idea of what I will be saying to say to the person who comes here to discuss the 2nd questionnaire with me - and I would appreciate any other reasonable thoughts or ideas on how to deal with this BS...

Richard said...

Oops! Haven't sent mine yet. Thanks for reminding me :)
