Five Favourites

Five songs from 10,000. My life can be measured in the songs I've heard and enjoyed. Or hated. Songs take me back in time, and those times were not always pleasant. (I've avoided the negative ones....).

If you have some suggestions, suggest away.

I'll bung 'em up.

Simple Minds - Belfast Child.

First song I heard on the montage I watched before starting training for deployment to NI.

Cranberries - Zombie

Fleetwood Mac - Beautiful Child.

This is a path not traveled in a while.

FT,

I was listening to Harvey as I was picking the other songs.

Now that I am sober I reckon I would have picked five completely different songs.

Damn that grape-juice!!

Anon,

I'll make sure I have Simple Minds in the next collection.

Brilliant band.

Anon (03:34),

I think I had Zombie on a little while back.

I wouldn't have thought of Fleetwood Mac but I completely agree. They produced some fantastic songs.

I would like someone with a better command of the English language and grammar to concoct a letter/e-mail that asks, of our individual MPs:
Are you aware that British servicemen are involved in the killing of innocent civilians in Lybia?
Are you aware that they are doing so without international law?
Did you vote to send air munitions against Lybian civilians.
Or,
Somsthing along those lines.
WE HAVE TO CONFRONT THEM - NOW.

How about the Eu's new anthem?

No wonder our politicians all limp back from Brussels nursing their ravaged arses.
