PM Grows A Pair. Finally.

Wonders, they never do cease.

Read this, but put something soft under your jaw.

I didn't. It hurts.

A snippet:

He insisted it was the ‘weak thing to do’ to keep ‘ploughing on’ when consultations on reform indicated there were better ways of doing things.

‘The tough, strong thing to do is to say 'yes, we can make these plans better',’ he said, adding that that was what the Government had done on both sentencing and the NHS. ‘Public confidence isn't a side-issue in this debate, it is the issue,’ he said.

‘My mission is to make sure families feel safe in their homes and they can walk the streets freely and without fear. Our policies are about making sure that is the case.

‘The system today is failing and badly needs reform.’

He went on: ‘Let me be clear. We will always pay the costs necessary to protect the public and punish criminals.

‘We will not reduce the prison population by cutting prison sentences. We must do it by making prison work.’

About fucking time someone did something sensible. Let's face it, this sort of thing was well beyond a Labour MP.

Words are cheap CR, I'll believe when I see it.....

Also note the last sentence:
"David Cameron said those who use ‘reasonable force’ to protect their families would not face the ordeal of being hauled through the courts themselves.

Although the current law allows a similar provision, the Premier said he would clarify which defence actions would be legal and which not"

clarify means limit by definition.

He went on: ‘Let me be clear. We will always pay the costs necessary to protect the public and punish criminals. - Brilliant let's start with the unelected tossers in Brussels, followed by our Court Officials, Mp's & councils who steal or missuse tax payers money etc etc! I won't hold my breath though......

I thought I'd stay reasonably upbeat for a change....

Reality will bite when he caves in again on something vital.

Ho hum.

The charade continues.

Squatting... a crime? I smell a wave of forthcoming fraudulent bank foreclosures. They will need those houses nice and empty to resell.

Great Stuff!

Next time a politician, policeman or local official knocks on my door I will be ready if they try to enter.

Now where's my gun?

Reincarnation from 1993,the torie's under John Major proposed legislation to make squatting a criminal offence when Michael Howard was HS.

Did'nt materialise.

Only the tories could introduce such law, making the homeless.....homeless.

From the Daily Mail
A six-month mandatory sentence for adults who use a knife to threaten or intimidate (hasn't actually stabbed anyone)
Prisoners made to work while inside, with earnings used to compensate victims (Enslavement; and how much of their "earnings" do you trust the Gov't to forward to the victim?)
Tougher community sentences, with longer curfews, travel bans, confiscation of assets and £2,500 fines for non-compliance (Do I have to comment?)
Plans for a criminal offence of squatting (As stated above, making the homeless homeless)

Sorry Cap, Cameron has uttered bullshit. This is it -
"My mission is to make sure families feel safe in their homes and they can walk the streets freely and without fear. Our policies are about making sure that is the case."

The day I walk into a gunshop, buy a pistol and walk along with it in my pocket, I'll realise that the Government is interested in the people's right to self-defence.
In the meantime, we are going to be "allowed" to defend ourselves but not actually with anything.

Captn. Shifty: "They will need those houses nice and empty to resell."

But that's the problem! Houses that B&B or NR lent 120% against at the height of the bubble are now worth 80%.

Immediate loss if they resell at market value. In current market conditions it is unlikely they will sell at anywhere near the price they loaned.

How about his lunatic obsession with being the "Greenest Government Ever"???

A U turn on that particular issue, and I might (just might) begin to respect him...

Don't start praising the Prime Minister. It's a slippery slope.

OK, OK!

I get the message.

He isn't a Tory after all...

(No more upbeat stuff. Not about the Pee Emm, at any rate).
