Slavery By Consent

There has been some discussion on the USA's 13th Amendment in the last couple of days. I may have kicked it off as I stated that the 13th did not end slavery in quite the way everyone seems to think it did.

One of my blogmates, Banned, asked when "enforced slavery for criminals will begin". It already has.

This video has some information that supports my claim. The first few minutes of this should make your jaw drop. Look, if you would, at the faces of the celebs on QI as they get told some facts and figures by Stephen Fry. Remember as you watch their stunned faces that this is, in part, a comedy show. I don't want to over egg the pudding but this was the first time I had seen the QI clip and it shocked me that they were so shocked.

The whole film is fascinating. Regular readers may well hear a lot of stuff already mentioned here, but that isn't a bad thing. After all, the dogma we have been brainwashed with has been repeated ad nauseum, and I reckon that to unbrainwash ourselves we have to hear the different/true version as often as we can in order to replace the ordure, if you see what I mean.

Part 1 can be found on the right-hand side at the YouTube link given above. The whole thing is around an hour and a half. I watched it last night instead of the dross on offer on the tellybox.

Films like this, and they are far too few in number, remind me why I am doing what I am doing. Embraced properly, this is world-changing stuff.

And if we don't change the world, it will stay the same: an ungodly mess.

None of us deserve that.

Yes, but that stuff on the Tobin tax is utter shit. The percentage of the tax is low, but often it's much, MUCH more than the profit on the trade itself.

It would probably cause more damage to the banking system than the "collapse" that led to the bailout. And because the banks are still "too big to fail" ...

Thanks for fixing the second link on your previous post, while lengthy it was very informative.
The vid here is both interesting and, in parts, amusing.
If such a gaol regime existed in North Korea, as it probably does, America would denounce it at every opportunity as State Slavery and rightly so.

Good luck to the last young lady and I would be interested to hear about any others who have walked from court simply by saying "I do not recognise the jusidiction and waive the benefit"

Thanks Banned.

There are several videos/audios knocking around YouTube and Google showing people beating the courts using their own rules. One, closer to home, featured an Irishman in court doing just that. (I have the audio on here somewhere). He claimed common law jurisdiction and waived his "benefits" from the court and walked free. (He had been nailed for driving offences, nothing serious, but the court had to wave bye-bye to money they would otherwise have scammed from the victim).

This approach is gaining in popularity and I feel it is only a matter of time before the system collapses.

I know you'll enjoy it Bucko.

I wish there was a better way of sharing info but I am stuck with videos for now. It would take me days to transcribe them. (Not that I want to do that, but some "purists" think that all blog posts should be original. I will never claim that what I post is my own, unless it is).

I accept that part of what I am doing here requires me to share information. If I can at least point it out to people who would otherwise not get to see it then it is worth the time and effort.

Whether they watch it or not is up to them.

You wouldn't get the emotion if you transcribed them.
Besides, it gives me an excuse to sit on the couch with a beer and it gets Mrs Bucko out of the way for a bit.

The problem we all have is getting the message out without it being blunted. We generate this stuff but then it dies away.

James,

A very valid point.

This blog, almost by design, is laden with doom and gloom. In order for me (and all of us) to understand, we have to know how and why the illusion works. Almost nothing I have delivered in the last year has been bursting with joy. We have all been learning, and so far, it has been hard to hear, hard to read, and hard to take on board.

We have to build our knowledge before we can put it to good use.

Tomorrow I will bring good news.

Tomorrow there can be a sense of hope.

But only if people start believing in themselves and only if they want to use the information.

You can lead a horse to water....
