Trust No-one.

Inspired by Ms Raccoon I thought I'd have a crack at this unsavoury nut.

To get to where I am right now, all you have to do is ask yourself, honestly, "Who do I trust?".

Your list, (if you are anything like me), will be shockingly short. That itself is an indictment as to how far we have fallen. How low we have become. How low, those who are supposed to know better, to act better, have become. How little we expect or demand from those we pay a huge chunk of our wages to. How very, very disappointing.

I cannot remember a time in my life when those who we automatically respected and trusted have so abused that trust and squandered that respect.

For and on the record, I do not trust any of the following:

The monarch (She is a traitor)
The government (All 650 are guilty of treason or misprision of treason)
The police (Unconvicted killers, rapists & thieves still serve in the ranks)
The judiciary (A very brief look at recent sentencing should convince you)
The NHS (They kill more people than we could possibly know, or believe)
The press (Liars of note. Corrupted to the core)
The banks (Read the papers. Thieving bastards. All of them).
The Greens (This is a cult. Not a political party)
The Tories (So deeply, deeply disappointing).
The LibDems (Unworthy. Of anything).
The Labour Party (Criminals. Gaol them all. They destroyed this nation).
The "charities" (Not charities at all. Lobby groups for the govt of the day).
The scientists (Liars and grant-grabbers. Will lie about anything for money).
The church (Whatever god/gods they worship)

Please feel free to add to the list in the comments and tell us all why your trust has evaporated.

This image was sent to me by my old pal Chris. It is hard to disagree:

We keep coming back to this. Until we are all on the same page, expect the situation to get worse and worse....

Be rebellious. Be free. Be a pain in the arse. Be persistently awkward.

Eventually they will get the message.

I'll bet my list is shorter than yours

I was brought up to trust people but that notion soon disappeared once I got out into the World, I now stick to the philosophy of "everyone's a cunt until they prove otherwise"

Fidel,

So you are saying..."No-one"?

A good rule. I have been known to take people at face value. Mostly, that's okay, but I have been burned a few times.

Well, yes ..

Apart from the bloke I see in the mirror when I'm shaving .. and I have my reservations about him on occasion

Sounds reasonable.

Cut yourself some slack though... :)

I'm in the trust no-one as the default position for everyone outside of my family and a few real friends and in the cannot be trusted for every living soul who earns their living from taxpayers.
This approach is currently standing me in good stead.

William,

Agree completely.

Churches are human institutions and are therefore corruptible like any other. The faith of bona fide Christians is in God - because we need to be delivered from our corruptibility.

CC,

It was the Men of God I meant, not the institutions themselves.

Priests interfering with choirboys, and Imams advocating sex with prepubescent girls, and the various splinter groups scamming money out of the vulnerable, are the intended recipients of my mistrust and my scorn.

Faith, in and of itself, is absolutely fine by me. My long-held personal motto is "Do what you have to do to get through the day, as long as you hurt no-one else whilst doing it".

There are a few friends I trust but mainly because I know where the line beyond which they cannot be trusted lies. They feel the same about me and are absolutely right to do so.

I trust my wife and daughter but not with my gold card.

I trust my son to bring the car back in one piece but with the tank empty.

And I trust my dear old Mum to say the wrong thing and upset everyone because she's 84.

I don't trust anyone, not even my nearest and dearest, although I trust them more than I trust most other people. I've been fcuked over too often to place my trust in others. I've been a lot happier since I came to that conclusion.

Great piece CR and relieved to hear your voice again after a few days of absence.

There is a lot of mistrust in the air, with good reason.

It's as if they are sucking the goodness out of the world. A shame that we all turning into such cynical bastards.

Long gone are the days of 'my word is my bond' or the handshake.

A good list covering pretty much everyone and everything. I think you forgot the teachers (sadly), it seems, merely tools of mindshaping and propaganda these days.

Trust needs to be earned; our institutions, overrun and usurped, have lost that.

Trust is sometimes born of innocence; once an endearing quality is now very much out of place.

Hi Cap'n,

I agree with tinks on teachers - the educational establishment. What is it if not an institution that indoctrinates young minds into becoming nothing more than slaves of the elites, getting them ready to a life of total servitude via a life of taxation?

I trust no one I meet nowadays and really only 'almost' all of my family and a handful of friends. When you get royally fucked over by someone and are at death's door, people and life take on a whole new meaning altogether. I believe the name for it is 'waking up'.

For people to see what reality is, they have to see it from their own two eyes. The recent landing of UK special forces in Syria, may bring swift retribution on the UK by Russia and possibly China. A situation in the UK on a par with Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, former Yugoslavia may make people eventually open their eyes and start asking questions and causing serious civil unrest, although I won't hold my breath.

We are all being lied to but the major problem is, only the few see this. The majority never do until it's too late to act, hence the saying: 'shutting the door once the horse has bolted.'

CRANKY OLD MAN

What do you see nurses? . . .. . .What do you see?
What are you thinking .. . when you’re looking at me?
A cranky old man, . . . . . .not very wise,
Uncertain of habit .. . . . . . . .. with faraway eyes?
Who dribbles his food .. . … . . and makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice . .’I do wish you’d try!’
Who seems not to notice . . .the things that you do.
And forever is losing . . . . . .. . . A sock or shoe?
Who, resisting or not . . . … lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding . . . .The long day to fill?
Is that what you’re thinking?. .Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse .you’re not looking at me.
I’ll tell you who I am . . . . .. As I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, .. . . . as I eat at your will.
I’m a small child of Ten . .with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters .. . . .. . who love one another
A young boy of Sixteen . . . .. with wings on his feet
Dreaming that soon now . . .. . . a lover he’ll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty . . . ..my heart gives a leap.
Remembering, the vows .. .. .that I promised to keep.
At Twenty-Five, now . . . . .I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide . . . And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty . .. . . . . My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other . . .. With ties that should last.
At Forty, my young sons .. .have grown and are gone,
But my woman is beside me . . to see I don’t mourn.
At Fifty, once more, .. …Babies play ’round my knee,
Again, we know children . . . . My loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me . . . . My wife is now dead.
I look at the future … . . . . I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing .. . . young of their own.
And I think of the years . . . And the love that I’ve known.
I’m now an old man . . . . . . .. and nature is cruel.
It’s jest to make old age . . . . . . . look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles .. .. . grace and vigour, depart.
There is now a stone . . . where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass . A young man still dwells,
And now and again . . . . . my battered heart swells
I remember the joys . . . . .. . I remember the pain.
And I’m loving and living . . . . . . . life over again.
I think of the years, all too few . . .. gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact . . . that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people .. . . . .. . . open and see.
Not a cranky old man .
Look closer . . . . see .. .. . .. …. . ME!!

Remember this poem when you next meet an older person who you might brush aside without looking at the young soul within.

We will ALL, one day, be there, too!

I've already taken those words to heart - I trust no one.

Ranty...never, ever trust the smoke police! EHO's are a complete law unto themselves and make up any old shit to benefit themselves and provide a guilty verdict. We have stonewall, stonking proof of this but it is not the time to release such! ;)
