Here there be rants. There will be Freeman stuff, Lawful Rebellion stuff and Random stuff. I am rebelling because I want my country back. My lawful obligations are as follows: “together with the community of the whole realm, distrain and distress us in all possible ways, namely, by seizing our castles, lands, possessions, and in any other way they can, until redress has been obtained as they see fit…” Article 61 Magna Carta 1215

Remarkable Speech (No. It Isn't From One Of Ours).
This amazing speech comes to us from 1958.
52 years ago this man, Robert Welch, saw with uncanny clarity what America was to become. And, more importantly, what needed to be done to stop his predictions from coming true. Not enough was done, and the America we see today is the result. The UK is there already.
Anyone heard of the guy? (Forgive my ignorance).

We get so caught up in the immediacy of the present, it can be a real eye-opener to see how long-running some of these ideological battles have been. Fascinating speech. One small correction, though, it seems to be partly from 1974 (recapping a 1958 speech?).
ReplyDeleteBarry,
ReplyDeleteI think it says that at YouTube.
I'll see what I can find out about the guy.

absolutely astounding. if not many people have heard of him, it's for the same reason that the Hitler speech, with it's embarrassing names, dates and facts (linked to in your "devil's eye" post) is conveniently forgotten. for all Mr Welch's prescience and sincerity, he may as well have kept his trap shut. how many people would even listen to his speech today, or care, rather than flip channels to be "entertained" by some slapper eating mice in the goddam jungle?
ReplyDeleteState education, innt? no facility to engender critical thinking, logic or ethics, or anything outside the "now"
you covered that one too.
Very interesting video
ReplyDeleteTis a good one, had it up at mine last year till youtube pulled it. have you seen the Vietnam speech he did? should ring some bells.

Good god!
ReplyDeleteThat guy knew his stuff.
I liked (actually, I hated) the Shakespear quote "War is to occupy giddy minds". (I paraphrased).
Makes a kind of twisted sense as well.
Nothing takes your eye off their shenanigans faster than a convoy of hearses carrying war dead.
Bastards.

I don't know of this chap but I wouldn't mind betting he met his end in suspicious circumstances
