Police Visit Ranty

How very exciting!

Two bobbies just knocked on my door. A drawn out conversation follows. I am CR, Cop1 did most of the talking with a sneering comment from Cop2 now and then.

(After opening the door)

Cop1: We are here to talk to you about a speeding offence which ocurred on 23rd September. Can we come in?

CR: No.

Cop1: Oh. It will be really awkward writing without something to lean on.....

(I say nothing).

Cop1: Let's get on with it then. Are you Captain Ranty of number 5 Ranty Barracks?

CR: Am I obliged to answer any questions?

Cop2: Yes! Yes you are.

CR: Under what law?

Cop1: Under Section 6, of the...

CR: Stop. That is not a law. It is a statute. I am not obliged to obey any of those.

Cop2: If you are going to be awkward we can just as easily take you to Fraserburgh police station*.

*This station is 40-odd miles away. Why did they not offer to take me to Banff, about 8 miles away?

CR: Sure. We can do that. I have nothing else on today.

(Neither cop says anything).

Cop2: Getting back to statutes, you fully insure your car. Are you not obeying that statute?

CR: So, what of it?

Cop1: Either you obey them all or you obey none. Which is it?

CR: For the time being I choose to insure my car. It protects me from idiots on the road.

Cop2: You can't pick and choose which to obey and which not to.

CR: Of course I can.

Cop1: Let's carry on. Is this number 5 Ranty Barracks?

CR: What does it say on your paperwork?

Cop1: 5 Ranty Barracks.

CR: Then I guess it is.

Cop1: What is the postcode?

CR: What does it say on your paperwork?

Cop1: (sighs) Well, I just thought you might help me out. I'll check. (Reads his own paperwork). Yes it is. (Writes it down in his notebook). Now then, are you the owner and registered keeper of XX XX XXX?

CR: Legally, I don't own it, no. Although I did make all the payments on the car.

Cop1: Who owns it then?

CR: The DVLA. Legally speaking, once you have registered something with someone, title/ownership passes to them.

Cop1: (writes this all down in his notebook). Right, I am putting you under caution. (launches into the caution). Then says "Do you understand?"

CR: No. I choose not to.

Cop2: What does that mean?

CR: All three of us know that the word "understand" means something different to you guys. (Both of them looked away from me for the first time and stared down at the ground).

Cop1: Were you sent Form blah de blah to fill in by CI Wallace?

CR: Yes.

Cop1: You sent it back blank, that is why we are here, to get all the details.

CR: I know. The three statutes quoted on the form don't apply to me. I certainly don't have to fill forms in.

Cop2: Yes you do!

CR: No. I don't.

Cop1: I am charging you under the Road Traffic blah de blah for speeding and Section 7 of the blah de blah for not completing the form you were sent. Do you understand?

CR: No.

Cop1: We have everything we need. You will be told in a letter what happens next. I don't suppose you will sign my notebook?

CR: No.

Cop1: Fair enough. We'll be off then.

CR: Very good. Nothing personal lads, I wasn't being difficult for the sake of it. You are doing your job, and although you don't understand why, so am I. I am different to everyone else, I have a fairly unique lawful status.

Cop1 and Cop2: Yeah, we do know. Thanks for your time.

CR. No problem. Have a nice day.

And off they toddled.

Thing is, I got the sense that they really did know where I was coming from, but their job is to enforce statutes (mainly) and to collect that all important revenue.

My oath (made three years ago) remains unviolated. I harmed no-one by travelling at a slightly faster speed than the posted limit. Conditions were perfect: dry road, bright day, and only me on that particular stretch of road at the time. No traffic on the other side of the road either, for that matter. No-one was killed or injured, no-one suffered loss, and at that moment in time, no-one was at any risk of being harmed.

I suppose the next step will be a summons. I will accept their invitation to appear under certain conditions. I still expect this never to reach court, but if it does, I will have won long before I get there. I still have several defences. This was just round one.

One final note: at all times during the chat with the boys in blue I remained calm and polite. That is important. I am also happy to admit that I was a little nervous. It's one thing writing about it, and quite another when you have to try and remember it all when you need it. Even though I am well prepared for court, I will no doubt be nervous then as well.

This And That

First up, I am still alive. (Some of you were wondering).

It's been a grim week. Not for me, I hasten to add. I have just been busy with work.

I watched, with mounting disappointment, as iDave blethered on. And on. And on. About nothing. Never have I listened to a prime ministers speech with such a sense of underwhelmingness. I was consumed with indifference as he launched into....bugger all. Empty words, empty promises and meaningless rhetoric. There's an hour of my life I will never get back.

A bloke called Steve Jobs died. It was a tragedy. It's always a tragedy when any man or woman dies at 56. I never used any of his products. I never wanted any of the shiny things he produced. The outpouring of grief, false, as always, on Twitter particularly, had me clicking on the little "x" in the top right-hand corner. Twitter is (mostly) shallow at the best of times, but some of the people in my timeline plumbed new depths. I had to step away. He was just a bloke. You'd have thought someone really special had pegged it. If we really are searching for a hero let's find someone who isn't obscenely wealthy and famous only for selling shiny things to the gullible.

Twelve UK banks have been downgraded by Moody's. You might think "So what?" but someone will have to pay for that, and it is usually you and me.

Merv King has printed another 75 billion quids. Now that will hurt us. Quite why no-one ever makes the Mugabe/Zimbabwe connection is beyond me. Everything will now get very expensive, despite the fact that everything already costs too damn much. Still, the Old Lady will not feel any pain. No matter what the economy looks like, the private board of the BoE does very nicely, thank you. No change there. The shit will rain down on...you and me. Again.

Foxy Knoxy released from her Italian gaol. If she truly is innocent then I wish her well. I thought harder about the Kercher family, who, despite the fact that the third person involved remains in gaol for their daughters horrible murder, feel that they do not have closure. The truth will out. It always does.

My jaw dropped when I read this brilliant article over at Ms Raccoons den. Do read it all. If you can get through it without any profanity whatsoever, read it again. The gormlessness of EU adorers knows no bounds.

No news from the chief inspector on my alleged traffic "violation". You would imagine that if he had a cast iron case he would have written back within nanoseconds of opening my notice to him. But no. Nothing at all. He may well be still reading and rereading it and scratching his head. Or, he rolled it into a ball and hurled it binwards. There are another couple of weeks remaining before the violent men come to haul me courtwards so I'll update you when/if something happens.

No news from the leccy people either. I am rather hoping they are in a mild panic at having to explain to me why they are stiffing me for an extra 12% every year when no law exists to support that theft. Again, I will let you know what occurs.

Have a lovely weekend.

All Your Gold Is Belong To Us

Hot on the heels of the story I posted this week about Scottish seas being secretly given to England by that nastiest of parties, ZaNuLabour, here is today's revelation:

That 315 tonnes of gold that we thought we owned, has also been given away.

To the EU.

Have a look at the emails that came to me this morning:

"The Maastricht Treaty did, and still does, lay title claim to all the UK ’s gold and dollar reserves.  At the time of the gold sale the recently-launched euro was struggling to establish itself on the currency markets.  Receipts from the gold sale were used to buy euros, which propped it up for a while but failed to stop the slide.

However the transaction simultaneously met a large part of the demand that all the UK ’s gold and dollar reserves be passed to Frankfurt while neatly avoiding physical transfers in fleets of bullion trucks driving to the Channel ports.  A huge potential political flashpoint had been smartly sidestepped.

Such deceit is the normal modus operandi when the EU (and the British government for that matter) knows a proposal or directive does not have popular support.

Gordon Brown lied when he claimed it was a purely commercial decision. It was intended to show support for the euro, and it started to meet the UK 's treaty obligation to transfer our national assets to the ECB if the UK were ever to join.  It also assumed that the result of then promised referendum on joining the euro would be in the government’s favour.

It is highly unlikely that the Labour government would have won the 1997 election at all, let alone in a landslide, if they had said that they intended to sell a significant proportion of the UK ’s gold reserves – whatever the reason.

After the sale, gold represented a mere seven per cent of total reserves.  Previously it was 17 percent.  And all without anyone being asked, agreeing or voicing a view. By mid-2000, British taxpayers were sitting on a loss of some £26 million.  Now it is over £13 billions.

My sources at the time were impeccable.  One of them was even inside the Bank of England.

BTW the physical gold was held in the Bank of England on behalf of the EU for some time after the sale.  Where those ingots are today I don't know.

Ashley Mote

PS – The German government was the only one of the (now) 17 eurozone members not to melt down all its coins and pulp all its notes when joining the euro – as the treaty demanded.  The German government simultaneously embarked on a huge gold-buying programme which went on for years.  Their gold holdings are now massive.  Net result - the Dmark could be re-launched tomorrow – no problem!"

And:

The Brown Bottom

"With the gold price hitting new nominal highs I thought it was a good moment to remind ourselves about the consequences of Gordon Brown’s sale of much of the UK ’s gold reserves.
In 1999-2002 he sold 395 metric tons of gold at an average price of $275 an ounce. Today the price stands at $1749 an ounce. No wonder Brown’s sale on the gold price charts is known as The Brown Bottom.. He also gave notice to the market that the sales would take place, thereby giving market participants every opportunity to drive the price down in advance.
Here are my calculations of the value (in millions) which would have accrued if we still held the gold today:

Sold then
Value now

99 - 02
2011
Quantity sold tons
395
395
Average price $/oz
$275
$1,700
Sum realised US$m
$3,477
$21,492
Exchange rate avge.
$1.52
$1.63
Sum realised £m
£2,287
£13,185

The 2012 Olympics are estimated to cost some £9billion, so we could have paid for the Olympics with the amount of value he surrendered and had over £2billion in change left.

As of December 2010, estimated gold reserves were as follows: -

US
8,133 tons
Germany
3,401 tons
Italy
2,452 tons
France
2,435 tons
UK
315 tons

The impact of the man’s stupidity is breathtaking.
Please circulate. The more who know about these figures the better"

Are you sick and tired of being lied to yet? Fed up of being robbed by those we put in positions of power?

Will you do anything about it?

I do hope so.

Distressing and Distraining The Police

After a long day at work I arrived home to a surprise.

It was a Notice of Intended Prosecution. I allegedly drove my vehicle* at 70mph in a 60mph zone.

As you would expect, I was delighted to receive this nasty, threatening notice and I have responded accordingly. No FPN for lawful rebel Ranty. They want to take me to court. I relish the opportunity but first, I need to win the fight before I even set foot in a Scottish court.

I penned a note to the Chief Inspector who authored the notice to me. He used all capitals for my (government) name and I have instructed him never to do this again. Each violation of my instructions carries a penalty. I told him that if he addresses me as a slave (using Capitis Diminutio Maxima) again, he will be issued with an invoice for 500 ounces of silver.

I also reminded him that I had entered Lawful Rebellion some time ago and that the three statutes he waffled on about in the notice were meaningless to me. I further warned him that if he sends me more meaningless paperwork, my reply would cost him 1,000 ounces of silver. My time on this planet is finite. There is a cost associated with wasting my precious time.

I will not post up my full notice to him as he has not yet received it and I want him to see all the details first. No doubt he will respond-he is trained to extort-but his reply is all too predictable. He will do his utmost to get me to court, and I will do all that is necessary to punish them for not recognising what I am. My status as a Lawful Rebel makes me untouchable. I have hurt no-one. I have not caused injury or loss to anyone, and I certainly have not made mischief with my contracts. These are the only laws I need to live a happy life. It may take several notices from me to him to get that message across. It will be costly for them, but learn they will.

The chief inspector threatened me with a fine of £1,000 and six penalty points if I did not complete (in full) the form on the reverse of the notice. It should come as no surprise to regular readers that I sent back the whole thing uncompleted. His threats mean less than nothing to me.

* I do not drive. I travel. I do not have a vehicle. I have a conveyance. I do not carry passengers. I travel with guests. Whilst these terms "drive", "vehicle" and "passengers" may seem innocuous, they are not. They bind you immediately in commerce. If you are driving for gain, or carrying passengers for gain, you are in their commercial world. I was not carrying out any of these activities at the time of the alleged "offense".

Look:

1. A traveller exercising their common and ancient 'right for all……at all seasons of the year freely and at their will to pass and repass without let or hindrance, and without charge.'

2. A traveller is entitled to stop on the King's Highway for so long as is necessary for the purposes of his journey.

3. “all the Subjects of the United Kingdom of Great Britain shall……have full Freedom…… to and from any port or place within the said United Kingdom……” Union with England Act 1707 and Union with Scotland Act 1706 Article 4.

4. “all Laws and Statutes in either Kingdom so far as they are contrary to or inconsistent with the Terms of these Articles ……shall from and after the Union cease and become void” Union with England Act 1707 and Union with Scotland Act 1706 Article 25.

(The above was provided by my pal HR on the FMOTL Forum).

For interest, point No 2 above refers to parking/stopping on yellow lines or other "restricted zones". In this instance I am more interested in points 1, 3 & 4. I have not used them in correspondence with police. Yet.

If they are seriously unhappy with my LR status and the lawful excuse I have, I will deploy around six more defences. Two of which I have successfully used for friends to make their speeding "offences" go away.

If I am invited to court, before I go I shall activate my fee schedule. They will be sent an invoice and I will make a special appearance at court only when they agree to pay my bill.

As always, I will keep you updated.
