Dear everyone who links to this blog,
That most childish of toads, Dickie Doubleday, is tearing around posting comments at your blogs. He uses my name and my email address in an attempt at authenticity.
It goes something like this:
"Thanks for your contributions to my blog in the past, i have decided i do not want any more of your comments as they are not in the style and have the content i require in order to advance "lawful rebellion" in a new direction.
thanks again.
captain ranty"
Now, regular readers will be aware that I use capitalisation and (reasonably decent) sentence construction, and I know what punctuation means. Twatty here can barely write. He is incapable of rational thought, he is also incapable of rational debate. He thinks that the above is causing me problems. It is not.
As long as you are able to ignore him, that is.
He has threatened me with this crap over the last couple of weeks and he demands an apology. He has a very, very long wait ahead of him. I'd sooner slash my wrists than apologise to this senseless, gormless, infantile oxygen thief.
He needs help. He is a virulent, vile, venomous unthinking anti-smoker and his hatred has consumed him totally.
Have pity on the dozy cunt. (I had to dig deep, but even so, the well was dry. I am done with the window licker).
CR.
Cheers Ranty, will remove from my blog the comment. Thought as much - the profile link in the comment was wrong that was the give-away.
ReplyDeleteCR: I did wonder about the 'capitalisation' thingy but being a tad naive took it at face value - and fell for it!
ReplyDeleteMy sincere apologies for so doing *goesincornerandhidesface*
I'd just headed over here to give you a heads up having seen a comment that you'd supposedly posted over at my gaff.
ReplyDeleteI read it, read it again and thought 'naaaaah.'
Thanks peeps.
ReplyDeleteI almost didn't write the post. I knew you were all smarter than that!
But the little shit has caught a few out.
Cyber terrorism, eh?
Lucky me.
CR.
I didn't think the infantile crap could possibly be yours, CR. I'm sticking around for the duration!
ReplyDeleteThanks OR.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the crap he wrote.
This is embarrassing.
For him.
The squelchy little turd.
CR.
so far no sign of the twat. Always one eh?
ReplyDeletelazy,
ReplyDeleteLet's hope he doesn't find you.
He isn't all that bright so you may get away with it.
CR.
Ah well hopefully it keeps him off the streets :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cap'n but how does he get to use your details?
ReplyDeleteD,
ReplyDeleteI don't think he is allowed on the streets at his age.
He'll be tucked up now with his mammy reading to him....
CR.
I had one. The rat smell was overpowering. Fortunately Blogger (for all its sins) decided it was spam anyway.
ReplyDeleteJames,
ReplyDeleteHe uses my email address and he copied and pasted my gravatar.
As a forger he is hopeless.
Sorry for the inconvenience. The way he delivers his "message" is not my style, and I would never do that anyway. You guys have been good to me, and I would not be as callous as the anti-smoking fart has.
CR.
I realised straight away that it was not you. It's not your style of prose.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mudgy, thanks FE.
ReplyDeleteHe is a leftie tool. The lobotomy certainly worked on him.
CR.
CR: Surely for a lobotomy to take place you require a brain first? ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi CR was thinking of you when I did this, cos I know you were on a downer last week.

Artco
Froggy,
ReplyDeleteVery true....I never thought of that.
:)
CR.
Arty,
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely fantastic!
It is also tomorrows post.
Thank you so much.
CR.
Maybe change your email address for log-in purposes to something like:
ReplyDeletekp165546ajd389v@gmail.com
Create one just for the purpose of logging in and set all your blogger accounts to accept only that email address.
Then there is little chance he will be able to guess the email address and use it to log in, pretending to be you.
He could still create a fake ID similar to yours, such as:
Capta1n Ranty (using an 1 for i for example)
He could even paste in your logo.
But it would not show up as actually coming from you.
Just some ideas.
You'd have thought that after the rapid exposure of that faker Gleick caused by poor command of grammar, your fake troll would have taken extra care.
ReplyDeleteI will remove the comment he polluted my castle with.
ReplyDeleteTo Cap from Tap.
ReplyDeleteI was very surprised to find such a comment, badly written and without capitals in your name, with no reasons given. And I'm delighted to find it's a troll playing silly buggers, which I suspected from the start as I implied in comments.
I am leaving comments open on my 'channel' - although there are many making me wonder if it's the right policy. If I had as many comments to deal with as the good Captain, I would go back to monitored only as well.
But whichever way it is, let's all keep blogging. We are making waves and hitting many of our targets. One day the beast will finally be slain. The internet is here to stay. The show goes on. I've run out of cliches.
You are still our biggest referrer. Thanks.
it's a good job i kept a list of those i "hit" cos most of them have deleted the message....lmao, its a natural thing to post you haven't been conned and if you have been offended delete straightaway.
ReplyDeletethis works ranty....i know it does, the evidence is missing links to blogs.
the reason it works is simple...bloggers arrogance, if you tell a blogger you don't want to read their stuff, they are far too important to contact you, or give the impression that you matter, their blog is "all important" not yours....this was quite an eye opener during tests with another blog where pretty regular contributors swallowed it and stood their ground without posting on the target blog again and removing links
i know your little clique wouldn't be fooled, i still sent them one anyway. the same goes for a "30" hit in one go....i knew full well i would get exposed.
you have at least 75 more to go at and a return to the old ones with a different game.
i'm telling you this cos i want you to keep your mouth shut, here or anywhere else and keep moderation going or you will be dragging your sorry arse around blogs for many more weeks bleating "not me".
im not promising to stop at all, that promise to you was lost when you went no moderation today, but if you refuse to moderate your comments about me then i will just escalate more and more.
like i said im having a pause a ceasefire, i can hold off and wait and wait.
its about time ranty you listened to what i'm saying and remember their is a lot of fun trolling in your name.
posting a statement like i have done is tame and just an example
Hey, Cap'n. I was going to let you know you've had an impostor leaving a comment at mine, but I see you already know. Yes, the style, among other things, gave it away a bit. Actually one thing rang the impostor alarm bell and full volume right away, but I won't say what in case he reads this and makes a note for next time. No freebie hints for internet fuckpots round here.
ReplyDeleteI suspected as much as there was no link to CR. Also, I had doubts that you would be terribly offended by my wishing you luck a few months ago.
ReplyDeleteApologies for being caught out. I'll be a bit more careful about accepting comments at face value in future.
ReplyDeleteLink will be restored.
Regards,
Bill
Thank you Captain, although your comment to Foggy was unnecessary as it obviously wasn’t your good self. You can always tell a gentleman by their writing. Mind you, if he’s a plumber........
ReplyDeleteCaptain, a quick guide for your ‘pal’ relating to the use of ‘i’.
ReplyDeleteCapitalisation is very important. It’s the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your Uncle jack off a horse.
Arty,
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely fantastic!
It is also tomorrows post.
Beat you by a day, Cap'n! The more this runs the better. It really is superb.
Hi Captain, as a fool who likes to give others the benefit of doubt, I was caught out. I should have known better. Thank you for the warning.
ReplyDeleteBest Wishes, Escapee.
Thanks for the support folks.
ReplyDeleteHe left two comments. I have let one go through so you can grasp his state of mind (it is an utter mess in there) and the other will not be posted because he used someone else's name.
CR.
Oh dear ranty! it does seem that you will always ignore me. lies and name calling (knobber) on angry exile
ReplyDeletethe ceasefire has ended.
the next level of disruption will begin, some of this aint pleasant but you invited it.
there will be no more posts from me whatsover in any name.
the disruption will be permanent and constant
before i commence, you have till 1800 tonight to remove that post on angry exile....i am giving you this last chance before i start as i will begin after 1800.
i'm ready to go with this one but i feel i have to give you one last chance.
this is it ranty.....and the last word from me is.
goodbye
All I can really say to what DD's done is sad! Ok, so you disagreed and? To impersonate you and go around posting in your name is really low. It shows an individual with possible psychological problems. What a complete arsehole to say the least. Worse still, I have to try and figure out the hard to distinguish words (at times) part of comment moderation and type them in order to continue.
ReplyDeleteThanks DD for nothing and behaving like such an immature wretch, trying to ruin it for all.
Harbinger
I was going through my spam folder today and found you/him lurking there. I was delighted as I was beginning to feel a little left out.
ReplyDeleteIn all the years I've visited blogs I have never come across someone so purile and deranged as DD.
ReplyDeleteHis actions reveal an age equivalent to his IQ.
But, if you rattled his cage to THIS extent then more power to you Cap'n!
From a comment on DoubleDick's blog. Thought you might find it useful Captain.
ReplyDeleteDickie Doubledick said...
l go under the name spencerdavis and my e-mail is spencerdavis69@aol.com
My IP is 92.11.115.84 (Maidstone Kent)
Thought l'd tell you this because l was too stupid to hide the IP properly on DayTripper. Also too stupid not to change anything else.
Well I have checked through my spam queue...it was a long one and there is no comment from you or your doppleganger, I guess I am a bit miffed but will blame it on not having been around much recently...if that was the comment you showed, then I would not have fallen for it anyway, as has been mentioned above your phrasing syntax and grammar (including capitals) is quite readily recognisable given more than a dozen words to go by...DD is obviously just a deranged piece of internet flotsam, washed hither and yon by the whim of the etheric tides, with a brainsize corresponding to one of the lost plastic ducks of the Pacific I shouldn't worry too much about him Capn, yes have his IP traced and then press charges, cyber bullying is an offence I believe, perhaps Pres Obummer will render the little twat to somewhere they do torture eh, we can live in hope...
ReplyDeleteNommy,
ReplyDeleteHe now visit blogs and comments using my moniker.
It is frustrating but harmless.
Maybe he will give it up when he goes to big school...
CR.
He caught me out until another commenter pointed it out and I did an IP check. Reminder to self - be more careful. Anyway, I've left it up but suitably amended... ahem.
ReplyDelete".. is basically stating an aim to break the law, because attempting to launch a Denial of Service attack on a website is illegal."
ReplyDeleteSo in this case you want to use some laws to protect you? Thought you were against all that?
I've been getting a few of these recently. It's quite easy to tell, as they:
ReplyDelete(a) express opinions diametrically opposed to your own
(b) demonstrate poor spelling and grammar, and
(c) the link in the name is to your blog, not your blogger ID
I delete them once spotted - although I would leave them up if shown as from "Anonymous" or "Wayne Kerr".
I suppose you should regard it as a compliment that you are worth impersonating.
Phew! I thought "what the fuckava dun!?" when I first saw it. :-D
ReplyDeleteI'd not done anything with my blog for ages and logged in today to find your message. Googled the ip that the email was sent from (just in case) and it didn't match up. Odd! Googled the content and found this post.
Glad your still keeping us motivated ... prefer the old theme though. :P
"as they are not in the style and have the content i require in order to"?????? PMSL.
Cheers mate and Happy New Year. :-)
Thanks mate. All the very best to you too!
