Listen, in the coming days for the screams of the greenies, the warble-gloamanista's, those carbon-trading scam artists, and especially their biggest allies, the gubmint, as the truth slowly trickles down.
Read this, and if like me, you constantly scoffed at the bollocks you have heard for the last ten years, pat yourself on the back, put a smug look on your face, and get ready to say "I told you so!" about a million times. A day.
Here's a snippet~
"The Sun normally follows an 11-year cycle of activity. The current cycle, Cycle 24, is now supposed to be ramping up towards maximum strength. Increased numbers of sunspots and other indications ought to be happening: but in fact results so far are most disappointing. Scientists at the NSO now suspect, based on data showing decades-long trends leading to this point, that Cycle 25 may not happen at all.
This could have major implications for the Earth's climate. According to a statement issued by the NSO, announcing the research:
An immediate question is whether this slowdown presages a second Maunder Minimum, a 70-year period with virtually no sunspots [which occurred] during 1645-1715.As NASA notes:
Early records of sunspots indicate that the Sun went through a period of inactivity in the late 17th century. Very few sunspots were seen on the Sun from about 1645 to 1715. Although the observations were not as extensive as in later years, the Sun was in fact well observed during this time and this lack of sunspots is well documented. This period of solar inactivity also corresponds to a climatic period called the "Little Ice Age" when rivers that are normally ice-free froze and snow fields remained year-round at lower altitudes. There is evidence that the Sun has had similar periods of inactivity in the more distant past."
If you scoffed, be happy. If you reduced your carbon footprint, you put us all in harms way, you fuckwit!

Captain - scoffed yes and happy for it.
ReplyDeleteNot necessarily looking forward to freezing in the dark when the power goes off in the next cold winter though due to the complete lack of energy policy here in the UK and thats before the warming worshippers like Huhne compounded the issue with their decarbonisation schemes.
He for one should be tied to one of his own useless windmills and left to rot as a warning to others ina modern day version of the gibbet.
Having said that, I do now have a wood fired stove and diesel generator so bollocks to the lot of them.
PS - have a look at Watts up with that for a little more on the story - quite enlightening.
Glad you mentioned WUWT Wasp - have you noticed that the site's resident and relentless alarmist gadfly, 'R Gates' has suddenly produced a parachute for himself in the light of this?
ReplyDeleteKatabasis - yes I noticed his line of thinking there - that it's the ideal opportunity to deal with CO2 emissions whilst we have a cooling reprieve.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I think that's exactly the line most of our unthinking dronelike politicians will adopt (or have forced on them) in the short term.
At least until the electorate start dying in the cold but by that time it will be to late to do anything about our lack of generation capacity and we will just have to sit there under a pile of blankets and watch the icicles grow on Huhne's windmills.
No, it's not true, warble gloaming will resume on a disastrous scale on October 21st, and everyone will be... oh, hang on, that's the Rapture mob, isn't it? It's so easy to mix those two up.
ReplyDeleteIt's been happening for a while hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteTime to fuck off to somewhere warm I s'pose!
God bless the EU... NOT!
As a kindly old gentleman said to me when I was 15 and thinking of joining the Forestry Commission...
"Don't bother with that mob... You should go to Africa my boy..."
I never did, more's the pity.
Really awesome post and you have described everything very nicely.

ReplyDelete"If you reduced your carbon footprint, you put us all in harms way, you fuckwit!"
Aha not me Capitan,
Oh nooooo! I can proudly say I`ve made no attempt to reduce my carbon footprint, no sir, no fuckwittery ere!
In fact I`m buying a ex army Bedford 4x4 mj truck to commute to work in, haha!, as a single passenger too so suck it up greenazies, its got a crane too you know.
"Climate change" its bollocks, a scam, its called the weather and its always changing, just look out the window ffs.
There`s hope yet Capitan, there`s a new milf in town, Michelle Bachmann, she`s running for the Republican nomination, she`s as fit as Sara Palin but has a functioning brain,
I quote "The big thing we are working on now is the global warming hoax. It`s all voodoo, nonsense, hokum,a hoax" Un quote Mrs Bachmann in a March 2008 speech in Minnesota.
Oh yeah, not only has she an arse you could bounce a feather off and deep blue eyes she talks my lingo, although she`s probably bonkers.
I`m writing a post to submit to Orphans of Liberty, not that I`m an orphan, anyways its called Republican Milfs Of The 21st Century.
Toodle Pip.......
Aye, it's strange how, since the Iceland volcanic eruption last year, the AGW lot have vanished into their own atmosphere, yet still those with vested interests keep spinning the same old bull.
ReplyDeleteI have the details somewhere of what that one eruption did to wipe out all their statistics. It's something like 3 years globally. Is it any wonder the Asians aren't interested in all this?
A link....

Thanks all, for the comments and links.
ReplyDeleteNo time to answer each fully, I am checked out and heading to Lagos airport.
I get back home tomorrow sometime.
Yay!
CR.
What kind of sad case would want to reduce his or her carbon footprint?
ReplyDeleteOne who doesn't want to help the planet, that's who.
ReplyDeleteBastards.

Greece is on fire again today, so well done the Greeks for introducing more much-needed CO2 plant food into the atmos., thereby helping to stave off another freezing winter in 6 months from now. Go guys!
ReplyDeleteFor the past few years, China has been expanding economically. To do so requires power, and the main power source those clever Chinese use is coal, mostly because they've got lots of it (though they are experimenting with thorium, again because they happen to have lots of it stashed away from all their rare earth metal mining).
ReplyDeleteEvery year, the Chinese CO2 output increases by more than Britain's entire CO2 output. Even if we simply stopped ALL fossil fuel output, we would only offset the Chinese output by one single poxy year!
Remind me again, why the fuck are we even bothering here? Go for high energy use, rapid tech expansion and research, and start designing high-efficiency nukes (and high-effectiveness radioactive sludge disposal systems, like fast-neutron reactors) for when the fossil fuels run out. Designing nuclear-powered tanks wouldn't be a bad move, either.
