Anarchy for Beginners

I spent a happy hour listening to this interview. I lean towards anarcho-capitalism myself. Leave the markets alone. Free from all government interference they will self-correct and flourish.

Any self-aware government should know that they have no business in business, no business in education, no business in transport and no business in health. A very limited government with severely curtailed power has to be the thing to aim for. Get them out of our lives and FFS get them out of our wallets.

  1. Capt'n, too many people rely on big government for their living. Not only welfare recipents but the folk that administer the welfare and tell us all how to run our lives as well.

These people will never bite the hand that feeds them.

What can we do? Starve the Beast- the state. I read a good post over on oldholdborn. Check it out.

  2. Damo,

As painful as it is for me to do so, I agree.

The only people who want zero govt are those of us that recognise it is a bloated, grasping, thieving bully. The rest, including the govt, have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. Forever.

I read the Starve the Beast posts. Interesting stuff. I hope to do the same myself before too much time passes.

Almost since day one of this blog I have advocated that we give them nothing. Or as little as possible.

The more we give the more they will demand.

  3. Interesting.

Been writing of late about anarchy on the odd DT comment section and it's imperative that the MSM promotes anarchy as a post apocalyptic, cannibal infested, barbaric, mass murder of a reality because it helps to strengthen democracy. This is why media companies will pump millions into films like 'The Road' and 'The Book of Eli' to name a few of late.
It promotes fear into the public, telling them "You need to be governed and looked after or bad people will rape you and murder you and eat you...blah....blah....blah..." forgetting to tell you that the reason there is a breakdown in society is because the people wake up to being abused by the democracy promoters, that is the politicians, who then resort to a scorched earth policy, that is, "if we can't control you then we'll kill you" attitude.

So many people are oblivious to this reality because they are continually conditioned. It's therefore instrumental to the survival of corruption that anarchy is constantly put down, on a par that racism (original definition meaning purely a love for one's own culture and people) is put down as well, because in doing so it strengthens multiculturalism by enforcing an incredibly false guilt complex upon people - "You like your own culture and prefer to associate with your own people therefore you automatically hate other people and their cultures" bollox. Without this promotion they wouldn't have been able to flood countries with other peoples, in order to help the business owners reduce costs and maximise profits and eventually remove a minimum wage altogether as they come to take every penny you earn.

Propaganda, brainwashing and indoctrination is the name of the game. Some people are now seeing through it. Thank god for that is all I can say.

  4. The main thing people seem to forget, or, more FLAT don't recognise is that on a day to day basis we pay for government to 'steer the ship' and expensive, it is. Too expensive.
If asked 'how much tax do you pay' most will say 25 to 30% well in fact the reality of it is, the tax you and everyone pays is about 80 to 85%
    The unemployed pay slightly less.
With a severely restricted government doing what they should do, for free. we would be free of taxes. Imagine having 85% more in your pocket.
For those that think this is simplistic, they have a lot of thinking to do.
Parliament, not more than 70 years ago was a 'PART TIME' voluntary service, payment was simply expenses, however payment need not be through tax.
An anarchistic system 'IS' really the only way to go.
Society 'WILL' survive better and adapt faster than having some half whit politician brainwash us into thinking we could not survive without them.
But this space is too small to go into this in any detail.
All I can say is, that for anyone who cannot conceive of self-governance, they have a lot of reading to do and a lot of soul searching.
Stop making excuses for the government; they have screwed with our lives for too long it is time to say a fond farewell. For me it cannot come soon enough.

  5. Avoid paying tax as much as possible:

-multifuel stove for heating and some
    cooking

-grow fruit & veg and keep chickens

-only buy stuff you need fom charity shops/car boots etc or sign up to Freecycle

-avoid buying anything with VAT on it (a lot of things have no VAT

-set up a neighbourhood bartering/trading scheme (a couple of hors gardening for a some veg/cleaning windows for canned food)

  6. I've always liked the idea of true anarchy rather than the lawlessness presented in the media. In modern society it would be amost impossible to quickly devolve responsibility for decision making to small local groups but we can start pushing back against the juggernaut of oligarchic collectivism.
Free schools are a good idea because so much starts from education. Transport, which you mention, would be a bastard because there is no money in local transport operations but so many shops have been moved out of town centres a lot of people cannot get there without public transport.

Beyond that there is so much work to be done to simply get back to something like sanity.

  7. Cap, I've heard Stef talking about a very limited government and he's against it. Why? because countries with small governments become very wealthy and it's cityizens are then taxed, and so government grows to an immense size. He says a small government is like a small tumouir, all it can do is get bigger.
Anon - I've just got some chickens and a couple of ducks, and all my clothes (except underpants and socks of course!) are via a charity shop. Bargains aplenty for the astute in these places.
