The Brushfires Of Freedom

I like Ron Paul. I like him more each time I hear him speak.

Set aside some time to watch this video if you can. I particularly liked his comments from 17:30 onwards. That's my sort of government.

Tip of the beret to Anon 12:04 in my last post for the find.

  2. He is I think a great manI wish O how I wish we had someone of his knowledge and abillity with the courage to take on the elite self serving shite of MP's we have in the UK. I hope he runs for President although I think the MFIC will stop at nothing to prevent him running.

  3. Christopher,

    Thank you for the link.

I watched it all. Another great man! What I liked most was that he is already doing today what he promises to do if he makes it to the WH. He is spending less, he is taxing less, he firmly believes in small government (and proves it by having the fewest number of public sector employees in all 50 states), and his frequent use of the words "free men" and "free people" send out a strong signal.

Imagine a USA with him and Ron as Prez and Vice Prez?

    It would be stunning.

  4. J,

You need to watch Mitch Daniels as well. He is a good man.

Obama is yesterdays man. He has proved in the last two years to be a liar of note. Whatever he was "in it" for, it wasn't the American people.

  5. I too like what Ron Paul says, BUT will he DO anything?

He's a big "GOD" man and gets support from the religious "nutters" in the good 'ol US of A.

If you like TALK then he's your man.

  6. "Give 10% of my income and get absolutely nothing from the government" Better than the current deal but still not a good deal.

I like this guy but I've got more chance of being nominated to run for the presidency. The PTB will not allow this guy a chance of winning, and on the off-chance that he is nominated no doubt some accident, heart attack, skeleton in the closet will happen.

I think Styfan Molyneux described him best as a man that beats his slaves once a month instead of once a week.

  7. Doug,

He certainly does have the ability to convey his thoughts, most of which are okay.

Even if he does nothing he is sowing the seeds. That can be just as important.

  8. Obo,

I think it is more fundamental than that: he is too old. He will be viewed as "past his prime".

Americans can be fickle, and we know they can be fooled. They have chosen some doozies over the years but who can forget Dubya, the alcoholic illiterate? In 2012 they will have a choice of some wiser, older men, and a blonde with big tits. I don't think she is capable of running a parish council but I have money on her to win.

I hadn't heard that quote by Stefan. But I am inclined to believe Stefan more than just about anyone I have come across so far.
