The Man Was Right.
This incredible speech by Robert Welch, given in 1958, was truly visionary. He updated his predictions in 1974 and was uncannily accurate.
Although he was talking about America, hear instead "United Kingdom" and he fully describes the state of our nation(s) today.
I may have posted this before but hearing it twice won't hurt.

Well it is labled as a 'Mind blowing speech' and it really is, even today, years after it was given. I'm going to have to gen up on the JBS in the coming week, they seem to have great idea and this crap has got to be stopped once and for all, and like you I hope it is not too late.

Captain Ranty,
I've been reading your blog for a while and am grateful for your writing and video offerings.
One thing in this speech that confused me was the call for a gold-backed currency. Previously, in the video you posted about the background to the Wizard of Oz, in which we were told of the social ills caused by having a gold-backed currency and the perils of travelling down the 'yellow brick road'.
Also, the gentleman talks of his society's 'programmes', which sound a bit authoritarian to me. Thanks to you, and the many other bloggers I now read, I am wary of any body/person that advocates its own 'programmes' to benefit society.
I am not saying that his vision of the future was wrong, just wondering why was he so correct in his predictions?
I know, research is needed which I will endeavour to undertake.

Considering how long ago he was speaking sense, we have to realise that the message has not been spread to a significantly larger proportion of the population than he spoke to then...what went wrong?? and how do we now make it right???

The part of the speech which struck a cord with me was when he spoke of the deliberate wasting of money so as to bancrupt, it is clear to all now that the money has run out and can never be repaid.
The Capts previous vid to this post, alluded to this situation. The money(wealth) has gone, where has it gone, it has not simple vanished, it has changed hands, concentrated in a few hands?
The populations have been spending their own money to finance their own destruction. Thats what happens when we live in, as Dick says, a " gullible world".

I have also changed my mind about gold-backed currency. There are other ways to skin that cat. Could he have been "on the inside" and so revolted by the plans that he spoke out? Either that or he is a gifted psychic? Please let us know what your research turns up.

The SLR was my personal weapon FH, and if we'd kept the 7.62mm our Forces could engage the Taleban at a like for like range. Fucking useless MoD.

I should have seen this while at school or certainly told of it then instead of twenty years later. And I wonder why I wasn't? Well, socialists certainly don't want to promote anything detrimental to their cause of complete control of society.
Fuck me! Great speech, incredible visionary, but merely put together what communism was all about with American future society if they embraced is as we have done within the UK.
I agree Anon. 7.62mm was the way, I've heard of instances where 2 or 3 rounds from the latest kit have hit the target and the guy didn't go down, that wouldn't have happened in the SLR days.
