Here there be rants. There will be Freeman stuff, Lawful Rebellion stuff and Random stuff. I am rebelling because I want my country back. My lawful obligations are as follows: “together with the community of the whole realm, distrain and distress us in all possible ways, namely, by seizing our castles, lands, possessions, and in any other way they can, until redress has been obtained as they see fit…”

Child Snatchers-And The Award Goes To.......
I found this over ukwebspider's place, it is a mine of very useful information. Get over there for daily updates.
Are any of you left in any doubt that this is just big business?
His name doesn't appear on the list of council officers, but according to Wikipedia "Lord Hanningfield is the Leader of Essex County Council, to which he was first elected in 1970."
I have to admit that I am a bit non plussed about this information. I worked in the admin department of my local social services for over 2 years and not once was there an irate phone call from a parent who had had their child "stolen" and I was on the phones 8 hours a day, 5 days a week sometimes. There was never any indication of these targets in the massive amount of paperwork I was forced to type up, file and scan and I think I would have come across this sort of PRT while I was working there, but I didn't.
Before anyone starts shouting at me thinking I am some sort of government shill, I'm not - I left the SS due to stress and would never go back even if I was paid an outrageous amount of money to do so. There is an awful lot that is wrong with social services and it does need a complete overhaul (sacking all the managers would be a good start). However, as I said PRT isn't something I came across and I'm pretty sure I would have. (I left over 2 years ago so I will admit that things might have changed in the interim).
It's inconceivable that they are not in it for the money.
Interestingly, social workers can only be trained by the government. As far as I'm aware, there's no social work course available privately, which is not in some way sanctioned, regulated or controlled by the government.
Thanks for the link. Following up on this story I am so glad I left the organisation. I worked in an area office and realised today that I would not have come across any of this information anyway as the Adoption and Fostering department was in a different office, miles away and there was never much of a cross over between the two offices. This is called, as you will know, compartmentalization and it works very effectively. No wonder I never knew about any of this. I did know, however, that working there just wasn't right as I felt I was propping up a corrupt system. How right I was :(
1st Prize: Essex CC.

Hope you carry on with it.
The "powers that be" hate it when information about what they are really doing leaks out.
