New Labour-13 Years Of Disaster

I nicked this list from The 13th Spitfire and even he admits that it may not be complete.

The message is simple: vote for Labour in the GE and you are a certifiable twat. Vote for the Tories and they will try their damndest to add to the list.

We have to change things folks, because they certainly won't.

Look:

Record peacetime debt.
Record peacetime deficit.
The first fascist MEP elected to European Parliament.
UK drops from 7th to 24th in international maths and literacy rankings.
100 new taxes on the middle class.
Council taxes double for the middle classes.
Council tax revaluation if Labour are voted back in.
4,300 petty new laws.
Authoritarian police state oppressing legitimate protest, photography and law abiding citizens.
Doubled the length of tax law and created a mass of new regulations.
Sold the UK's gold reserves at the bottom of the market.
Ripped up a system of financial regulation proven over 300 years; 10 years later the UK has 5 failed banks.
Destroyed the best private pension provision in europe, taking £100bn from prudent pensioners.
Destroyed more of the UK's manufacturing sector than Thatcher.
Politicisation of the police, the civil service, education.

Falling productivity in public sector despite 48% real-terms increase in spending.
Overseen the rise of the unaccountable, unsackable, feather-bedded bureaucrat, taking control over every aspect of people's lives.
New GP contract increased average pay to £100,000.
Most GPs refuse to provide care during evenings and weekends.
Arrest of an opposition MP for doing his job.
House prices unaffordable for workers on average salaries.
Soaring knife and violent crime in our cities.
Debasement of politics, endless re-announcements of the same policy, cash for peerages, lies, spin and deceit.
200+ service personnel killed.
First non-jury Crown court trials.

3 million immigrants invited into the UK to take 81% of all new jobs created.
1 million young people unemployed.
Jacqui Smith.
Foot and mouth crisis (twice)
Farm payments
Tax credits
Iraq war
Under funded ill-equipped Forces
PFI
Home Office failures
Uncontrolled immigration (am I a racist for mentioning immigration, dear me)
NHS in tatters
School standards at the lowest ever
Thousands of knee jerk badly written laws
Rampant EU fraud
EU ignoring its own people
EU referendum promise reneged
Treaty/ constitution
Northern Rock
HMRC
Lost data – child benefit and dvlc
Donorgate
Cash for Honours
Single families
Economy in complete tatters
First time buyers taken out of market
Rich and poor divide becoming bigger
Plenty of tax rises – both direct and indirect
Uncontrolled private sector
Crime out of control

  1. Morning CR. Can't find your email anywhere. :)

Sorry I've 'overtaken' your post on GV's blog. I just cross-posted it and set it up to be published when it is on mine later, yet it's not worked. Wasn't intentional, honestly.

  2. Hi Rosie,

    No problem.

    You can reach me here:

    captainranty at btinternet dot com

I did publish my email address in the early days but I kept getting emails about Russian brides, viagra, and penile extension kits.

As it happens, I need all three but I prefer to shop for them at my convenience.

  3. I had hardly stumbled from my drunken debauchery of New Year's day (and given little time to get over my hangover) when the electioneering started. Already I feel as though I have been blindfolded, put into a room full of politicians, spun several thousand times before they took the blindfold off and someone said, "go on, pick your persecutor!"

It was fine way back in 1997, our persecutors were the evil rich (and ironically, the nouveau riche) who just had to have their excess profits sequestrated...er...taken from them for the greater good, but now...who's my daddy???

Never ever again...no, not the hangover but never again will I vote Labour, (and I'd never ever think of voting Tory, it's been bread within me!)

What were we talking about? :0)

  4. I thought about that as a title SCP, but I don't think they did plan anything.

They are just fucking useless. They don't ever think anything through.

    They govern by reflex.

  8. It isn't my list FTAC, but you are right, it should be in there.

    Along with:

    The pathetic smoking ban
    Curfews
    ASBO's
    4.2 million CCTV's
    Losing habeas corpus
    Losing innocent before guilty
Losing the right to assmble/protest (without writing to ACPO 7 years in advance
Anons first ever unelected PM & giving our country away without so much as a by your leave, let alone any shots fired.

    It is never ending...

  9. It does not matter what they do - they control broadcasting, the most awesome mind-bending power in the history of mankind - so they get away with everything.

Take control of broadcasting off the Left - and we might have a democracy back

  10. Marcellus,

We need only look to Africa. Any coup that takes place happens immediately AFTER they take over the radio and TV stations.

    Works every time.

Not so tough with terrestrial TV, but we have over 220 satellites to deal with. It's a bit tricky finding a spacecraft to get us out to the Clarke Belt to neutralise them...

  11. Ranty - I agree with you.

I would settle for utter reformation of the terrestrials - BBC, Channel Four and ITV - that has always been Labour's powerhouse

Any future for Democracy in this country depends on control of the broadcasters - as it did on control of the Unions in the 1970s and 1980s. Mandelson is already talking about the Post-Democratic Age.

If the Left’s control of broadcasting is not destroyed, the broadcasters will destroy Cameron - however large his majority.

The BBC must be broken up - particularly the news and current affairs department.

New contracts and licensing for all those working in terrestrial TV and radio.

Digital infrastructure of all the terrestrials opened up to private news and opinion providers.

Whatever happens - the power of the Left to control broadcasting must be ended. Why should they continue in control - they were never elected, they were just appointed. Who elected Marr to his position of enormous influence? What right have they to influence politics? The only protection we have is plurality and numbers. The danger comes with a monopoly like we have today.

There is a huge amount I could say on this - if you are interested I can be contacted on gaiusmarcellus at googlemail dot com
